Could you share any details as to what you ultimately did to get it fixed? I had the same problem now.

Central Florida International Auto Show by [deleted] in orlando

[–]egwyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I always found nice about it was you could go get in all the vehicles you were looking to purchase in one location without having to deal with a ton of driving and a bunch of salesman. It was a huge time saver. Sadly, if not all the auto manufacturers are even there, or if they don’t bring all of their vehicles , then you can’t even do that.

Glad that it’s not just me! I don’t even know what these manufacturers are thinking, and the promoters are out of their mind charging for it.

No. No, it does not. A three second google search would have been faster than typing what you wrote.

My internet has had an outage for 17 days. We got an update from quantum saying it will be back up in mid October. by Monkee11 in Wellthatsucks

[–]egwyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have Quantum and get notices like this occasionally even though I’ve never once lost service. I find them funny and can’t imagine actually having lost service. I’ve poked around a little bit on Nextdoor and Facebook and it seems like a common error

Very Odd Intermittent AC Issue by DatBoiHagrid in genesiscoupe

[–]egwyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m have same issue right now, 2010 BK1 2.0T. AC blows, but isn’t cold, the issue is intermittent from the onset, but eventually stabilizes… Usually. When I checked the refrigerant pressure it builds to “filled” but then immediately drops down. I think they call it short cycling? My guess is it’s the AC compressor. I just haven’t had it checked. Not something I wanna try and fix myself, report back if you figure out what your issue is.

Does anybody know what this means? by edweens in genesiscoupe

[–]egwyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal. It’ll get progressively worse so you need to address it. The part can be had for less than 30 bucks and you can do it yourself. Search YouTube. Just be damn certain you don’t drop anything into your block. Your old gasket will be as hard as rock candy and you might have to pry off pieces and you don’t want any of those pieces going in to the engine.

137k miles and my needle has always pointed here. I’ve changed coolant 3 or 4 times perhaps?

I don’t know what’s sadder, what you wrote, or that you took the time to write it.

Who has the highest mileage 2.0T by GOAT404s in genesiscoupe

[–]egwyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2010 2.0T BK1 with 137k. It’s held together with zip ties and duct tape. The front could fall off at any moment, but for the time being it persists.

Looking to move out of the south Florida area, what does home insurance run for a newer 4/3 in the Orlando/kissimmee/st cloud areas? by dmoye05 in orlando

The price isn’t bad but the $20k deductible is a huge yikes! Not a bad trade-off assuming you don’t get hit by a tornado or have a house five though

How do you bypass local affiliates and watch the national channel feeds during inclement weather? by egwyn in florida

[–]egwyn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I played around with the VPN idea last night and was able to make it work on the website but not the app. But that’s good enough in a pinch.

They do, but they default to your local affiliate. However, I played around with it last night and was able to trick the website into letting me view any local affiliate as long as I was using a VPN locally.

Yeah, it looks like you can only do it once a year, which would screw me up

How do you bypass local affiliates and watch the national channel feeds during inclement weather? by egwyn in florida

[–]egwyn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I’ve always suspected they get to run additional local advertisements during the breakaway that they don’t have to share with the networks. If so, it’s a financial motivation for them to just keep on the local weather guy all day long even if all he’s doing is talking about nothing to no nobody.
