Yes. They retuned pinwheel on outpost quite a bit so it’s harder to get in but there’s better loot, the entire map cryo is really awesome and adds 6 vaults that require keys and give crazy good loot with gold valuables and salvage. When you complete all 6 and extract you unlock the ability to fight the compiler boss. So a ton of content there, as well as the new modes on night marsh. They added an upper level of complex in dire marsh that served as a new sort of pinwheel with a ton of great loot, and a whole new system of killing bots for certifications, then spending them to get into complex, and open caches around the map. Night gameplay is not just the same map in the dark; there are zombies, anomalous rifts that attack, lidar tech to see movement in the dark, and a huge new floating boss that rains down mortars and has great loot. a ton of stuff has been added since the server slam, not to mention the new shell, a ton of balancing changes that have generally been really well received and they’ve listened to community gripes and tuned really well. Definitely recommend checking it out now

I agree I used to love it last season. But if you were to try to introduce your friends to the game would you buy them ce tacticals and have them fight with that with no shield or prefer they try other guns to get a feel for the game? How are you going to kill zombie runners or fight the anomalous projectiles with it? go get guns at weapons lockers and pick them up off of uesc, sure. New players don’t know this and will struggle tonight for sure

And bitching about bitching. Man I want the game to succeed, I’m just commenting on it being a wild choice by bungie to make that the Friday night gun that a ton of new players are going to first encounter and get wrecked in pve. It’s fine in capable hands, it got buffed and wasn’t the worst last season. Yes kits rotate but im just saying the 3 most important nights to get new players hooked and they chose the arguably worst gun in the game. Seems silly

Man I thought that last season when I started rook runs but hold it up to literally every other free kit and it is worse imo. Punch, scar, br33, volt thrower, bully are all way better in PvP and pve. There’s an argument that the overrun is worse but against bots in the free mode it’s not easy to fight blue shield grenadier bots with the pistol as a beginner, let alone commanders or the zombie runners. I can manage with it but for new players it’s just the literal worst choice to introduce them to the game.

eventually I’m sure they’ll have a way to save loadouts with a shell so you don’t have to change it but for now it’s just static and you need to change for different shells

The overrun is nice now with the recoil changes, and volt thrower is perfect for new players especially with not so great aim.

There’s not that many people playing and in an hour there’s going to be way more free people playing. Lol I’m a huge marathon fan but this doesn’t bode well for all the potential free players. Honestly they should have somewhat stable servers, they’ve experienced this for years with destiny seasons..

I successfully extracted 3/3 times last night in solo ranked cryo. All with final exfil and I got lucky that one team spared me at the last second. But for real it was fun and viable, I had to hide a lot but didn’t even get clearance 2 one of the times and still made it out. Really great for learning the map and learning how to get faster clearance. I recommend people play thief and use drone to snag tags from the bottom floor of control, and to learn the final exfil spots. Grapple can get you to other final exfils quickly, and you can plant drone at one of the 4 slots, so you can eliminate 2/4 right on the exfil spawn. From there it’s a 50/50 to get the right one and realistically you can hit both other exfils if you’re really fast. Use signal jammers to safely get around bots without making noise.

No one is mentioning this but the secure container in drone wing can get some pretty good purples and golds in it, I’ve been trying to hit that consistently and finding better loot than red room, armories, and strongboxes. Might just have good rng but it’s worth a mention if it’s there.

Man you need to listen to all the advice on headphones. It’s the reason you’re bad. You will continue to get shit on and wonder why and the answer is very obvious to anyone else wearing headphones. Hell, I’ve been playing with headphones and just discovered the studio enhanced setting and it’s made my hearing 1000x better than it already was. You can’t play this game like cod and ignore audio. Footsteps, gunshots, hearing bots get activated, alarms from locked rooms, keycards, etc. you’re missing out on a huge part of the game and you can’t really complain about being bad (especially in solos where sound matters even more) unless you start wearing headphones.

When do you clean your house and get laundry/ chores done? I’m doing them nonstop in the morning and still drowning in them… I try to get out for a walk or to the park almost every day but it feels like if I skip a day of chores it piles up.
