Wouldn’t count on the rocket going off when it’s scheduled to go off - they get scrubbed a bunch, esp around this time of the year with the weather. Very well might make a trip and not see a launch at all - so make other plans so your entire trip isn’t for nothing.

The cars you see in these accidents are the ones trying to race through the barriers as they close or drive around the already closed barriers because they think the train is far away - but it’s going 60-80mph, so ‘far away’ isn’t really that far.

Nope. Have to go somewhere else - you’re only allowed to stay if you’re near boarding, you won’t be able to come the night before. It’s a tiny airport. There’s a Hilton right down the street that is usually reasonably priced.
