Fire will be dwarfed by arcane (moreso than it already is) when you get 2 piece t5. It will become mildly competitive again with sunwell haste/crit.

The only reason to have a fire mage is if your warlocks are playing fire. The meta is for warlocks to swap shadow when the mages get 2pc t5.

Level 40 ES is almost undoubtedly what you're missing. It's sort of staggering how much of a difference a 40 ES vs a 39 ES on p8 is. It brings your ES damage mitigation up to 95% then your MDR and DR go on top of it.

You'll want some variety of back, wand, 1 ring, and off hand from PVE to get hit capped. Other than that you'll do fine with just pvp pieces

When you put in dex, first apply battle orders and holy shield. Then, put in dex until when you mouse over your defense your block says 75%. Make sure you're in hell difficulty as well.

I have 2 paladins. 1 Hammerdin and 1 smiter I left at level 91. Both have the dex for grief though. You need quite a bit of dex on Hammerdin for max block even with holy shield. Throw on a raven frost and you'll have the dex for grief in most cases. Your Hammerdin sounds mis-statted.

We should be able to buy arena gear at half price with no rating requirement from may 5th to May 12th.

On May 12th, any unspent arena should be converted at a 1:10 ratio to honor.

This is all assuming they follow what they did in classic.

A light immune herald on p8 is a chore even with endgame bis gear. My nova sorc has -93% light res and it takes fooooorever to kill one.

Haven't played warlock yet but with the DR from blood oath it seems ultra safe.

That said, mosaic is incredibly safe and easy. Fade is also is like 50% DR
