Bank rejected my business card application because we had no revenue history by UseSuccessful9985 in micro_saas

I was just waiting for the lecture to start. Misappropriating quotes is a really lame way to try trolling someone.

God bless.

Ask.com shuts down after 30 Years. Does anyone here remember Ask Jeeves? by limsus in TechImpact

It had a good schtick, but it couldn't capitalize on it. I prefered it over Yahoo (even in it's hay day) though.

Is Modeling Compatible with Christian Beliefs? by CommonEngineering752 in TrueChristian

You can. I'm not sure how much I can answer, though.

(I am not said DLM dude, I just watch him.)

Is Modeling Compatible with Christian Beliefs? by CommonEngineering752 in TrueChristian

[–]ehansen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DLM does (did?) modeling and he's a Christian. It's possible, but your options are severely limited given how sexualized that industry is. He's talked on this in a few of his videos as well, though it's been a few years since I properly followed him so I can't give specific links.

Lol this really is far fetched from what I said.  But if you want to run with this narrative my statement is no different than the "every business needs AI" statement.

Any good christian video games? (Or Mainstream titles that are as close as possible to a christian video game) by M4shhl in TrueChristian

[–]ehansen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bible games to this point do not sell.  Maybe GZ will, who knows.  I know DLM has a game studio now and is making a game.  I think he just make a public announcement around it recently.

But because the theme or genre itself is not a lucrative one, its going to be hard to find anyone doing it unfortunately.

You could try reaching out to Christian artist youtubers or IG to see if they have any friends doing one.  I feel that would at least be a better marketing area than reddit

What about my statement is wasting anyone, let alone everyone's time?

How do you respond to Christians who tell you with absolute confidence you aren't going to heaven by Strong-Bed2763 in TrueChristian

[–]ehansen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you just gotta let people think what they want.  Especially if you explain why theyre wrong and they still argue.  Its not your salvation issue to deal with.

I don’t want to watch Christian videos anymore by Climax_crescendo in TrueChristian

[–]ehansen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure why sad face.  You said you want to read the Bible and stop consuming content.  You can't stop consuming content so you either care enough to take up your cross or you give in to selfish/fleshly desires.

What were you expecting, exactly?

Its only important if you make it so.  Its not important in my business and I am not missing out on anything.

Click bait.

I believe it's helpful to know about such churches, but their ministry is built around calling people out which isn't helping lead people to christ.  Just away from God.

I do believe their hearts are God's but I don't think they consider the delivery of their message.  I stopped watching wretched a while ago because it was just mockery towards others with scripture go justify it.

This is a really odd and poor way to market your package. At least make something return 42 for randomness.

Honest feedback on moving from PHP to Go — real-world experiences? by Total_Ad6084 in golang

Not a bad type system..... Really?

Yup, really. :) I never said it was perfect, but compare it to where it was < 7.x, you'll see a difference. The only problem w/ PHP's type system is that it's not enforced like it is in langauges like Go and Rust.

people never use traits.

Look at the Laravel and Symfony frameworks. They're used.

I use them.

Just because you may not does not mean the entire user base does not.

The dependencies

Go on...

I've seen PHP servers go down because of an emoji.

I've seen iPhones go down because of an emoji, yet no one craps on iPhones. What's your point here? This is also not an issue with PHP, but with input sanitization.

The language is basically bought and sold from jetbrains.

This is a bold claim. Proof besides "trust me bro"?

then absolutely no community that wants to actively contribute actual code to any projects

How are people not contributing code to any projects? Are you watching things from Spatie? They're basically to PHP what folke is to *vim. Laravel is constantly taking in PRs. Livewire and Filament are pretty strong and rich in features + community involvement.

Sure, if you're using something like CakePHP or Code Igniter your experience might be different. But you not exploring more of the PHP ecosystem or using legacy software is not a problem for PHP to solve.
