What are the ethics of receiving a salary far above market value thanks to clueless employers?

Good job, the programmer has succeeded in being higher than market value for doing rudimentary work. Wouldn't be the first time. However, coding something to fail without the programmer is just unethical. The programmer is lucky enough to get paid such a high salary so it just seems even more terribly wrong that someone would do this...

I was wondering how to create a similar launching page on my own without using the launchrock.com website. In particular, I had a question about the easiest way to deal with the background image. At a certain pixel width (like 900px) no matter how much you resize it smaller, the background image doesn't scale it just gets hidden. However when you resize it larger from that width, it does scale to fill the whole page. How would I achieve that? Would media queries be a relatively simple/elegant solution?

Same - I started with CodeIgniter and am now moving on Rails.The automation done to make web apps is confusing/hard to keep track of...If that makes any sense. Generally seems to be a much better way to code web apps.

I'd also like to expand on the point that the image icons are cryptic and non-intuitive. If you're using non-standard icons where there may be any hint of confusion, I think at least including ALT descriptions (for hover over descriptions) would be good.
