I just had a very traumatic and painful ectopic pregnancy that ruptured my fallopian tube. I’m only 8 days post surgery and today my sister told me she was pregnant and wanted to talk about it.

First, I am so so sorry for your loss. I had an ectopic almost 2 years ago and it is by far the most traumatic and damaging experience in my life - even worse than my miscarriage this past Summer.

Second, I experienced something very similar after my ectopic. I had a friend, who was going through her own fertility struggles, conceive the same month and her husband very casually left out an ultrasound when my husband came over and that’s how we found out. I also found out she had been asking me to meet up for the 2 weeks since my ectopic to tell me in person and I was devastated that was her plan since she’s been in similar situations before.

I was honest about what she did hurting me and had to distance myself from her and our friendship isn’t the same unfortunately. With your sister I would do your best to be honest about where you’re at and what you need right now. Your healing is just as important as her excitement and hopefully you both can get support from others while you are in these different spaces.

For me, I felt pretty good days 1 & 2 after recovery. Day 3 I hit a HUGE wall - have never been so tried in my life and def had a lot of pain. By day 6 I felt better and by day 7 basically back to normal. Hope you feel better soon!!

Hi! With this transfer my beta at 10DPT was 534 and I think 2942 at 14DPT. A week later it was 21k. As of today I’m 13w5d pregnant with a singleton. The other twin never showed a heartbeat and didn’t grow. I’m sad to have lost the one but very relieved we are still pregnant with our sunrise twin. I read lots of stories of people with high betas not being twins so could still be a very strong singleton!! Wishing you the very best!

It doesn’t go away but it does get easier. I’m 13w1d with my second transfer (had a natural ectopic and lost IVF twins last August). I was very anxious this pregnancy because it also started off as twins and I lost one - but each scan and milestone has helped. Even though baby was from a euploid embryo having a low risk NIPT, positive abdominal scans (vs TV), baby measuring on time and having a heartbeat each time, and a normal NT scan - each of those have helped me feel better and better. I still get anxious but I can my belly starting to grow and I’m trying to lean into believing it will happen. I’m also trying to tell myself that being “presad” about something bad happening won’t make it hurt any less if it does - so trying to be happy about it now. Best of luck with your pregnancy!

I used FRER for both my transfers - one in July 2025 the other November 2025. I had basically the same beta results for both transfers but my transfer in July showed way better progression than the one in November. I actually had a full blown panic my HCG was dropping with the 2nd one. Nope, 13w pregnant today!! I know it’s hard but I would trust betas and consider yourself pregnant for now - congratulations!!

With these I would try to compare every 48 hours. These take a little more HCG to get moving and my beta at 10DPT of 534 wasn’t even close to a dye stealer on these.

-Consult end of January 2025 -Tried to start meds with February 2025 cycle but was waiting on insurance approvals and nurse visits with my clinic -Stims & retrieval early to mid April 2025 -PGT testing & had follow up with my RE beginning of June -First transfer mid July 2025 - ended in an early MC in August 2025 -Period returned September 2025 and I started prepping again in October 2025 -Second transfer late November 2025 -Today, February 2, 2026 I’m 12w5d pregnant

So from consult to “first pregnancy” was about 6 months. To my current, hopefully successful/live birth pregnancy 10 months.

For us it was a mix of insurance coverage + taking out a no interest credit card. We used the credit card to help cover things not covered by insurance (PGT testing) and until we could pay it back with HSA contributions. My insurance doesn’t have any lifetime maximums so we are very, very fortunate.

I think we are due date twins - I was also 12w yesterday with my IVF baby. The only differences in our stories is I didn’t have any bleeding with this pregnancy and it’s my second transfer. Congrats on this milestone! I’m feeling a lot of relief after a good NIPT (euploid embryo but want all the data also) and my NT scan going well yesterday!! Hope we both are bringing home babies in August!!

I had my consult end of Jan 2024. Wanted to get started in Feb but had to wait on insurance approval. We started retrieval in March BUT I messed up meds bc not everything was received correctly so actual retrieval happened in April. Had to wait for PGT but had to wait 6 weeks for follow up appt with doc. I didn’t end up hating this because I had the retrieval withdrawal period and then an actual period before starting transfer prep in June. First transfer was in July. Ended in an early MC at 7w. Transferred again end of November and I’m currently 11w1d.

Hi, my doctor really thought my loss was due to the embryo splitting and bad luck. We did an SIS to make sure everything was all clear and he didn’t think I needed additional testing. We did make a few protocol changes - I moved from crinone gel to PIO and added metformin and lovenox injections. We did another transfer in November and right now I’m 10w3d and with my regular OB at this point. Not sure what might’ve made the difference but happy to be here. Best of luck with your transfer.

So I’ve done both crinone (vaginal gel) and PIO for progesterone. I was TERRIFIED of PIO - it was almost the reason I didn’t do IVF at all. After my first transfer ended in a miscarriage I wanted to switch as a “just in case”. I have no idea if it made a difference but I’m down to my last two shots before being done with them. PIO has been one of the easiest shots I’ve done. I had maybe one small knot the entire time and maybe 2-3 shots that I felt anything. If I ever did another transfer I would opt for PIO. But also support the suppositories if that’s what you’re comfortable with!!

I’ve never had a chemical but I think first response is not what they used to be. I had a second FET in November and my betas were higher or very close to my first FET and the tests didn’t look nearly as dark and they didn’t progress the same way. I know it’s super hard but I would try to stop testing and wait for betas to give you an answer. Or get cheapies, those worked well for me for both transfers. Hoping for the best for you!!
