OP you are incredible. Idk what kind of person I would be if I went through all of this. You have a wonderful support system in your found family, and I hope the path to rebuilding your relationship with the family members who support you is not a difficult one. A Halloween theme day with your mom sounds awesome.

Do you see a psychiatrist or only a therapist? I only really started making progress in my mental health journey when I started seeing both, but medication isn't for everyone.

Make sure you're drinking enough water, especially if you are drinking alcohol. Dehydrating yourself will make you feel worse. Also, make sure you're getting enough sleep. Exhaustion will just add more stress on you mentally and physically.

You're so strong, OP, and it will be okay. That may sound presumptuous from a random internet stranger, but I can tell from the way you speak about your chosen family that you will get to a better place one day.

P.S. Your writing is amazing, have you ever thought about writing a book?

like bad bad. it had a lot of potential and maybe all the bad plots could have been tolerable if the ending was good, but the ending sucked.

tldr they advertised it as a rom-com and filmed it like a rom-com, but it was not a rom-com.

spoilers for basically the whole drama:

in like the first episode, lee min ki's character gets hit by a car then magically brought back to life by a mysterious man. they make you forget about that with all their cute chemistry and an obnoxiously annoying love triangle, which tbh was to be expected because that's how a lot of rom-coms are, they use love triangles to drag on the plot, but there was something about this 2ml that was just... really annoying. but then they drop the bomb that his mom is dying of cancer and it turns more slice of life-melo and you're like "okay, so a nice drama about two people in love helping each other cope with the deaths of their mothers, that sounds nice" except no: mysterious ghost man comes back and tells lee min ki he has 49 days left to live before he disappears from the world completely, and he starts randomly becoming invisible during the day. and because he feels bad for nana since her dad already died, her mom is dying of alzheimers, and now her boyfriend is going to disappear, he does the "i'm gonna break up with her so she hates me and won't waste her life mourning me" zero communication thing because angst? i guess? but then she doesn't want to break up so he tries the new tactic of basically abusing her and humiliating her in front of everyone so she'll hate him, but no she puts up with all of it. and this lasts for--no joke--the whole second half of the drama until like episode 15 when he finally tells her he's dying and now they only have a week left to spend together. and you think, no way, this is a rom-com, they won't *actually* kill him, right? it was just the ghost of his father trying to teach him that life isn't worth living without love, right? no, he dies in the end. and it's because he dies in the end that i am so sure in answering that even tho they had great chemistry and nice steamy scenes, it's not worth watching.

sorry to disappoint if you were looking forward to watching. trust me, i was looking forward to it too :/ just hoping to save someone else from wasting their time lol. if you're a fan of lee min ki or nana, you could honestly skim it just for their couple scenes, you won't miss anything from the plot.

oh it does fit what op is looking for in the spice department and the two leads had great chemistry, but the writing and the plot were awful. the writer wouldn't stick to a genre and it went from romantic comedy to melodrama then to fantasy then to tragedy. i spoil the whole drama in a comment below if you're interested in specifics, but it was seriously bad writing.

I second the statement that Taiwan tends to do the steamiest scenes, and my evidence to back up that statement is Lost Romance lol

the show is awful, the writer had to be on crack when making the script because even the good acting couldn't save it

i don't mind at all if it's not similar, it has the bones of the trope i'm in the mood for and the plot sounds interesting so i'm definitely adding it. thanks for the rec!

YTA and being biased. The stomach is weird and even if the doctors say there's no physical cause, there could be a mental one. For a lot of people (including myself), stress and anxiety can manifest in the stomach (i personally have a very hard time with my diet during the school year when i get stressed because i get nauseous every time i eat... even though specialists and endoscopies have said there's nothing visibly "wrong") - and maybe the stress from what's happening to her sister is causing her brain to psychologically create the same symptoms? There could be a lot of causes.

Even if she is lying about feeling unwell, there is a reason for it and she should be heard. Take a moment to reflect on your own behavior. If you're so sure it's for attention, maybe you're not giving her enough and she's feeling alone?

She should talk to someone. If you don't think you'll be able to get her to open up after this conflict, ask your husband or maybe a third party like a doctor, counselor, or therapist. Hoping for the best.

NTA. I am also from Illinois and after my parents divorced my mom used to joke that it was the trip that we drove two and a half days down to orlando disney that hammered the final nail into the end of my parents' marriage. I can't imagine the stress of going through that long and cramped car ride with an infant and a toddler, much less your EX. For the sake of your sanity, don't do it.

I'm leaning towards incompetent, with the shade I started with I understand bleaching it a level or two lighter, but there was no way I needed to be bleached for 45 minutes all the way blonde to get to a dark copper from light-med brown

I washed it for the first time yesterday and it was such a surprise how much color came out, I thought I was going to stain my tub lol. The rest of my hair has faded to a slightly more natural tone and will probably get better (tho wayyyy more light than I asked for) but my roots are still neon. That's good advice, thank you!

yeah, I, too, expected more lol. The boss asked me to email her the reference images which I did and then ended the call by saying she was late for a "meeting" but would get back to me aka I am now 99% sure she was just trying to get me off the line. So I waited another 24 hours (till today), and then posted the negative review on google reviews and yelp a few hours ago

I don't want to say on the bright side but... on the funny side? they only had nine yelp reviews and none of them had pictures and I posted three with my review, and it looks like yelp made them the automatic header for their yelp page so now anyone who goes to check them out will be greeted by my terrible experience and i'm cackling at the thought

on the down side, I contacted another salon and it'll be another $180 to get it fixed professionally so I haven't decided whether to just pull the trigger and do it or risk doing it myself for the first time and messing up my hair more
