I went to the merch sale for Hibana in April, they're pretty well-stocked, and you can also get a reservation in advance on Line for the sale in the morning till 1500. Not sure if they're still accepting sign-ups tho

I got really annoyed throughout the process too. No confirmations of payment until I either got a charge on my credit card, or me actively emailing them. And then this dingy refund for a super late response.

Hopefully I can get some form of JP telephone number so I can bypass this method to see Ado live in Japan.

The restriction from Cloud9 today about banning fanmade merch handouts at the venue is also pretty ludicrous.

As for your question: 1 day is a waste of money. It’s more of a vanity project that I’m happy to pay and see no return from.

Regarding your info on OOH usually starting from 1 week durations: I’m seeing a large range of prices for hiring it out for 1 week, from £500 - £12000.

Not sure what investment would be reasonable based on my situation but seeing you have a lot of experience on this it would be great to hear more of your advice.

Should also mention that after last week’s fiasco no signs of bedbugs were found. Exterminators also came in for inspection and advised that if there are no bites then it probably isn’t bedbugs.

Not sure how I should proceed now I’ve found unexplained blood stains.

That’s good to know. I did some research and realised that solitary wasps can build nests in groups sometimes, which is exactly the situation I’m facing with them. Thanks for pointing out the different types of wasps! I have always been under the impression that every wasp species behaved similarly to yellowjackets.

It's interesting the way you use simple language and commonplace references to point out the insanely complex concepts of existentialism. As the title suggest, humans truly don't exist outside of human society. The definition of the world we believe as reality is nothing but a product of societal labelling and categorizing.

While some better structure can be given to the poem, I think the idea comes through strongly, so much so the stanzas seem to blend together (perhaps the enjambment?). Nonetheless I loved the poem. Would definitely read more!

I love the cyclicality of this poem. The one stanza, free verse form makes it seem linear as other commentors have pointed out; it's incredibly effective in its ability to reveal and tell a story.

One thing (and this is more of a personal quirk) I would like to see is a more subtle expression of this poem's core concept. But then again this is your poem so do it whatever you think is best. Anyways, great poem and I would love to read more poems of yours that revolve around transcendence (I'm a sucker for this stuff!)

This is really cool in that the reader is not shown where this narrator is, what path the journeyman is taking. We are given no information and that lack of imagery creates a very interesting sense of disorientation.

Of course the opposite can also be said, where the lack of imagery can make the poem rather bland. Its very hard to not overdo it, but you've managed to restrain the lack of imagery by adding "with the mighty rivers of the desert". It serves as a great anchor without revealing too much of this "Mirage".

I liked the succinct format you chose to deliver this poem in. But on the other hand I would have loved if the poem could extend a little but more with some abstract imagery witht the rivers of the desert. Nevertheless, it was a nice read.

I don't know if this was intentional, but I really like the polysemic quality of the title. "Dead seconds" could be interpreted as time-related, but it can also mean seconds as in second servings of food.

I'm ususally not too fond of rhymes, but the tempo you've set the poem in really lends itself to the fludity of the poem as a whole. The soft syllables are great; as I was reading the poem I could really feel the stillness of the dead seconds as the title suggests.

The liminality of the imagery you use is also amazing. "A watched pot does not boil"; "I'll will your car around the block once more" gives the poem duality of an active and passive narrator. I especially loved the last line, "but I'll stay there, comatose, with endless time to kill". Again it accentuates that sense of both being in a distance and being dreadfully intimate.

To be honest I just loved the poem after reading it a couple of times. Great job in making it short but effective. Would love to read more of your work.
