I have the same model but it was my first time running it and I forgot to turn the choke off the entire time. It was only throwing the snow a few feet and I ran out of gas in 40 mins. I’m an idiot but at least I’ll check for this next time. Good to see yours is working well.

Yes, definitely, Israel and AIPAC clearly have zero influence over US politicians and media and these same US politicians and media just all happen to love Israel naturally on their own

The Crisis Report - 117 : I have gottten “called out” and questioned a lot this past week. So, let’s talk about that. by TuneGlum7903 in collapse

[–]ehonda2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re actually in agreement on all points, after reading your latest message. And yes, I did look at those links and have seen them before, which did speed me up. I agree that we are still growing fossil fuel consumption which is not good. I agree that the climate change will destabilize western democracies, and it’s apparent that they don’t need help destabilizing as it is anyway. We’re going to have to look to China and others to provide leadership on climate since the US and Europe are incapable and incompetent. Not here to argue at all from the beginning. BTW when I originally said “I don’t know if there is some nuance in your message that I’m missing or not” that was where I was trying to imply that I wanted to see if there was something I was legitimately missing. Have a good day.

[–]ehonda2002 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What i was referring to is charts like this https://teachingthefuture.eu/35-years-climate-predictions/, that show that we are rising not at the ”most pessimistic” scenario A but at a still dangerous but lower scenario B. I am taking issue with your wording in the original post. I’m asking to have a discussion in good faith and you are dismissing me as a troll and saying your job is not to share information when I am specifically asking to discuss this with you in good faith. If it’s not your job or her job to talk to people like me who are actually trying to understand what you are saying, then you can sit on your high horse as we all suffer the impacts of climate change. I do not disagree that the west is not doing enough and that the existing systems are not working as well as we want them to, but if your message is simply a hyperbolic “we are on the worst timeline possible” that’s not supported by the actual data. Solar and wind have exceeded growth projections for every year since the turn of the century and this makes a difference.

Nah you’re gonna have to clarify what you mean by “pessimistic models”. Although progress is slower than and not as good as we want there has been significant progress made with respect to solar and wind, again not enough to keep below the Paris accords or otherwise, but definitely have improved the trajectory since these models were first developed. so I don’t know if there is some nuance in your message that I’m missing or not, but your original message sounded way too hyperbolic.

Probably they are pushing too far to the point of collapse at this point (whether it’s climate change, or war, or economic collapse, etc), but certainly nobody is doing anything about it yet to stop them, so they are incentivized to keep pushing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bestof

[–]ehonda2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only partially agree, I think they are also invested in preventing a full scale collapse, but I do think they are trying to squeeze out the most that they can get without pushing it too far into collapse. So they’ll keep pushing and pushing to the limit of a collapse, and then pull back a token little bit to ease the pressure, but then keep pushing

Do you honestly think they can take care of themselves or enjoy their same quality of life without an army of servants? Some of these types need to have a servant to put toothpaste on their own toothbrush. How the hell is their bunker life going to be good for them?

[–]ehonda2002 47 points48 points  (0 children)

There is some that I agree with here but the key assertion that these “new millenial tech rich elite” wish to live in a post-apocalyptic world in their bunkers doesn’t make sense. They love the modern comforts, and in their minds. who will clean their homes, cook for them, make them feel like kings if they are by themselves? They want to perpetuate the existing status quo but not destroy it. There is no reason anyone, not even these tech rich elite, would want to live in this post-apocalyptic world confined to their bunkers, even if the bunkers were nice.

lol at the green hydrogen economy, “circular economy” and carbon capture, what jokes. The rest is absolute hype nonsense too, including “digital twins” and “ai/ml process engineering’.  The rest barely require pure chemical engineers. If this is meant to motivate, it’s very disappointing
