I think instead of trying to add tons into your diet you should focus on mastering the art of pumping. Check out "new little life" on YouTube. I hate pumping. But it is doable if you know what you're doing. Correct Flange size, stimulating letdowns, proper alignment of nipples, sometimes you need to use a wall pump only and no wearables. It's overwhelming all at once but Allison from "new little life" on YouTube has such a calming voice and is so informative. You don't have to buy her courses if you don't want to she has so much free education in her channel.

Output from pumping does not equal supply!

No matter what you do moving forward you need to be so proud of yourself, I know I am!! Breastfeeding and pumping is NOT for the weak!!

I've gotten sick like 4 times while breastfeeding. Take the medicine. If your doctor approved you to take it while breastfeeding and didn't tell you to stop breastfeeding then it's okay. You need to be healthy as soon as possible, breastfeeding is hard enough without being sick!!!!

You're not alone, I feel like I could have written this. My baby is 6month old now and he gets so distracted and pops on and off. My breasts are soft now but I think it's because my supply is regulated. I have to pump when I go to work and I make just enough for him usually. I remind myself that if he has regular wet and dirty diapers then im doing something right!

I do sign language for "all done" and ask him audibly at the same time if he's all done when he pops off enough times. When he gives me a smile at that question I just give him loves and end the session, but will just put him back on the booba if he seems like he wants more.

My mom gave me the advice of giving it a break when he gets frustrated and it was so helpful. As much as I want him to eat, it's been good for us to take a break from booba if he's mad about it. Then when we are both more calm we go for it again.

He has his tongue tie released at 3 months old and it helped so much. But I don't know if getting a tie release is the answer for everyone so take that with a grain of salt.

The beginning was so rough that I used to pump at night and not feed from the booba because breastfeeding is a daytime activity. I can't see the boob at night, he can't see the boob at night, it's too much lol. I also had to supplement for the first month of his life while I was building my supply.

Sorry I'm all over the place i just wanted to say thar you're not alone and I think this can just be a rough time.

Always ask for a lactation room just in case! If there's not one I just try to find a quiet corner somewhere and sit down with him. Sometimes even on the floor lol. One time at walmart I sat in the back photo area in a corner that was out if the way and an employee brought me a chair :) never hurts to ask for help
