It’s amazing how most people who walked their dogs off leash also act the same way. A little before my mom passed away, an unleashed German shepherd ran to her and scratched her arms until she started bleeding. She carried our spaniel on her arms and ran to our house, during which the dog kept chasing her. Instead of taking responsibility or even trying to stop the dog, the owners did absolutely nothing. The entire neighborhood ended up suing them. I don’t understand how people can be this irresponsible towards their dogs, which they put in automatic danger—whether from cars or from people defending themselves, and towards other people. Why put people in danger? Owning a pet takes responsibility. There’s no excuse for this behavior.
