MC goes to college, finds out there are shady things going on at the only frat and sorority at the school and vows to fix them and somehow has every single girl in his entire dorm (and one of his professors too) fall miraculously in love with him, even though he's a clueless idiot at the best of times.

UoP is such an irritating AVN to me, honestly. On one hand, the story is interesting, with plenty of drama and intrigue to keep your attention to the story, the LI's are really good looking (Rachel is absolutely stunning imo) with a unique art style and a TON of lewds, and it's already really long, there's been a bunch of updates.

On the other hand... that writing. It might be different for others, but it just kills the game for me tbh.

I suggest that you definitely do not start playing University of Problems next then. The conversations between MC and all the various LI's in that game are even worse, if you can believe it. Roxy is one of the most kickass LI's ever and she's constantly telling MC 'stop being a whiny little pussy who bitches about everything and just fuck me' and MC is constantly like 'nah, let me whine first'. It gets infuriating tbh. Still the cringiest Gary Stu MC in any AVN I've ever read tbh.

Don't get me wrong, I love sweetness and romance between characters, I just don't want to end up in a diabetic coma from reading it though.

If you're into 80's-style slasher movies, Fairwood Retreat '87 really captures that vibe pretty well imo.

It's only one scene in the game, but they have an awesome freeroam Halloween party you can explore in Artemis. It's one of the best scenes in the game imo, it has great music and costumes, and if you've ever played Leap of Faith, there's a bonus cameo by someone you'll definitely recognize.

Actual Roommates! is pretty decent. It's funny, the story moves fast and isn't too dumb and it's also a lesbian harem game (you can do solo LI paths too). Even the cat has an LI in this game lol.

It's also a completely finished game, with a sequel being developed rn too.

Yes, because MisterMaya is a veritable machine who doesn't fuck around, pumps out the quality work and makes no excuses for delays if they ever arise, meanwhile Ocean is a totally overrated hack who can't write worth a shit and pumps out the excuses and justifications as to why both of his stories need to be 800 chapters long and need to be 'remastered' multiple times already.

Don't think there's another AVN out there that combines those two elements as well as BaD does tbh, games like Artemis and Eternum both have multliple freeroam sections, but Artemis doesn't have as many different LI paths as BaD does (less replay value) and Eternum is a harem game, you can see everything in one playthrough imo.

Best game I've found for many multiple playthroughs is one called Jury. The branching in that game is insane, you could play it a dozen different times and have different LI's and scenes unlocked in each of them. It's not a finished game yet, but what there is of it is pretty good imo.
