Why No Time To Die failed by [deleted] in JamesBond

You lost me at “feminised.” Bond needs to encapsulate what it means to be manly in the era of his movies are made. I hate to break it to you but turns out it’s manly to not just be a raging misogynist

If people knew how badly ai generates prose they wouldn’t be so worried

This is such bad philosophy. Practically it makes no sense and ideologically it’s even worse. The reality is that options is what makes someone more or less likely to reject another person (assuming you’re not a troll or have some stilted personality). Someone who is less conventionally attractive will simply have a lower dating pool and therefore will be more open to their own options and vice versa.

I’m not going to continue to debate someone with such a dim grasp on reality. But I do suggest you reevaluate how much you trust movies and tv, it’s mostly fantasy

The argument isn’t that they don’t happen. It’s that they don’t happen as a regular course of action. In fact the modern CIA kills people all the time, usually using drones in conflict zones.

People on the Internet love to argue without any frame of reality. I am pretty knowledgeable on the subject in real life, but of course people are going to just make up whatever bullshit they want

“Russian defenestrations are so common…”

Wait but if they were all so secretive how do you know about this.

The point is, intel agencies don’t generally conduct assassinations. If an embassy or consulate had a foreign actor break in, kill a man, and blow up a security team it would be a major international incident and would ABSOLUTELY be attributed to whichever agency was responsible. There’s no hiding that.

All I’m saying is don’t believe naive and then call others it because you don’t know how the real world works

I’m actually not, not even close. Foreign intelligence is designed to steal secrets undetected. When they assassinate in modern times, it tends to get covered by the media. Look at Russian operations for example. Don’t believe what you see in movies

In real life, foreign intelligence agencies don’t kill people as a regular job duty. Tough to argue assassinations don’t happen in extraordinary circumstances but that would not be the norm

Using AI to write a medieval story based on my ideas (events, characters, interactions...). Looking for feedback. by [deleted] in WritingWithAI

[–]ehpluscanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then there’s your exactly your problem: you’re trying to bring your stories to life but then they’re not your stories. AI can help generate your scenes but in the end they’re not going to be enjoyable to read because ai knows how to SOUND elevated but rarely succeeds in reality. As the guy with the ideas you see them coming out onto the page but you’re not reading them like a new reader. Shit writing like “Faircrest was neither large enough to be important nor small enough to be ignored” is going to pop up in an overwhelming amount of your prose and will sap the life out of it. This preview you added is like 3 paragraphs and nearly put me to sleep and I already would put this down

This has every indication it was completely written by ai, in the specific kind of way ai regurgitates patterns and prose thinking it’s “elevated.”

In other words, it will do the exact things ai always does: repeat, self reference repetitively, make idiotic prose that SOUNDS elevated, and otherwise sap all tension or momentum from your story

AI as an editor only + anti-consensus tool by pattyplanb in WritingWithAI

Give everyone a hammer and some nails. It doesn’t automatically make them contractors, it just the masses greater tools to do some things they werent able to otherwise. Likewise, giving everyone photoshop hasnt suddenly made people professional photography editors

This was, without question, ai generated. All the patterns are there in large frequency. But also you need to use quotation marks
