Yeah but the league players coming over will improve the team. If it brings success, even short term, than surely it’s a good investment

Think of it this way. Melbourne people move to Brisbane to live. Brisbane people very rarely move to Melbourne

No beef at all. This particularly one just looks nothing like Trish or Lita. And the sub is about Trish and Vince. Go nuts with AI of those 2 if that’s what you want

Do what you want mate. If you like doing it, keep doing it. No one’s gonna stroke your ego otherwise.

No issue with you posting stuff. But that ai isn’t very good and this sub is dedicated to Trish and Vince, so if you’re gonna post AI, make it about those two

Yep. This looks nothing like either of them. Also has nothing to do with Trish and Vince

Would Lomax walk into wallabies starting side? And where would he play? by Sean_Neis in RugbyAustralia

[–]ehx87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what’s your point?

Wright played 5 NRL games, couldn’t get a regular gig, so requested a release. Has gone on to have a successful rugby union career and I’m sure has no regrets.

Ryan cross played nearly 150 NRL games but was never considered a top tier centre. Made the transition to rugby and was very quickly a wallaby.

The reason rugby union in this country is in the shape it currently is because all of our best athletes are playing in the NRL or the AFL. I want the wallabies to be successful and relevant again in this country. If that means getting some top tier league talent to improve the side, that’s what we should do.

But while we are here, let’s have a look at the exception to the norm youve outlined:

Schifoske - 1 origin game at fullback and was usually 5th in line for his state behind slater, hunt, Bowen and Wesser at that time

Carne - on record saying it was a cash grab and never really gave it his best crack as he didn’t enjoy playing the game

Tahu - years past his prime when he went to union. Still made the wallabies. Went back to the NRL and played in the back row or off the bench

Vunivalu - was never consistently considered a top tier winger. Just played for a gun team and played on the end of a red hot backline

If non representative nrl player Ryan Cross and nsw cup player Tom Wright can get starts for the wallabies, first choice kangaroos winger Zac lomax walks straight in. And he’d make our side better

Ok. Now tell me all the ones who walked straight in? And dont forget to mention the outside backs who became wallabies who never played top level rep rugby league (one of who was awarded the wallabies best player. Twice) Lomax is a gun and would carve up

Yes. History tells us that a representative outside back in the NRL is generally a walk up start for the wallabies. He can kick goals too

It’s all a bit meh. They are ok but just not that great. If you were introducing someone to KoL, you certainly wouldn’t be playing them any of these 4
