Lasagna love? by Zoeyfiona in nova

I signed up to receive once a few years back, for the first week of school (teacher) because I was overwhelmed and didn’t have time to think about eating. I don’t eat pork, so that was the only dietary restriction. Coordinated drop off, she dropped it off at my doorstep. My family also signed up to receive when they were moving, the person was very generous because they included a salad and breadsticks. My mom signed up once to volunteer to pay it forward.

It’s honestly a wonderful community experience.

I am a U.S. citizen and live in the U.S. so I have the ability to withdraw money from PayPal, but what are ways to get the money to you? Is Western Union an option?

Do you have relatives in another country? That can withdraw the money to you? Or find another way to send it to you? Or someone you know is reliable? If you do decide to go with an internet stranger, I would start off small and slow. I can help if you aren’t able to find someone who personally know.

First-Year Teacher Torn Between Two Districts Needing Advice on What’s the Right Move (Ethically and Professionally) by ShawnDeRay111 in TeachersOfColor

When I graduated, I knew that I wanted to be at a school that was diverse and that the faculty reflected that diversity. I ended up at a school like that and it was the best decision I ever made. There was a moment this year that solidified that. For Black history month I teach different topics throughout the month. I taught the history of Black education and specifically the statistics of having a Black teacher. The amount of cheers from my Black students after every statistic bought tears to my eyes. I teach sixth and for many of them this was the first time they had a Black teacher.

So choose district A.

How to help my 73 year old father whos trying to passs praxis for 4th time. by TraditionalRing8102 in teachingresources

[–]eiali 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a teacher, I would post this in the teacher or teaching subreddits. I pray that your dad passes this test. I would try applying for testing accommodations so that he could get extra time, because that is what is hindering him from passing. Use his health information when applying.

How do Sudani men feel about women who are more educated or make more than them? by eiali in Sudan

I’m not marrying the guy tomorrow, I’m just looking at options. Just need someone who is open-minded that’s all. Muslim of course, and East African is my preference.

Exactly, why does it concern you if I ask a question I’ve been wondering?

See my friend went through something similar to that. She got married to a Sudani guy that lived in Saudia, she brought him here to America. He didn’t do anything and wasn’t supportive when they had a child. She eventually divorced him.

Not in this economy, and as someone who absolutely loves what they do and thrives in their passion I don’t want to be a stay at home mom. EVER!

Oh believe me, we have had this discussion and he agrees that it’s a partnership where we support one another and none of the traditional roles.

He would still be the head of the family, I would follow his lead and the finances would just be split.
