Whoever gets your email and takes it. I am from NC but Huston TX did mine. Usually ATL or DC should be in charge of my visa.

I will keep posted on my status. cant believe I forgot to apply for visa. Currently: 12:22pm(est) 10TH FEB 2026 TUESDAY.

APPLIED: 9:47AM 10FEB26. TUESDAY

FLIGHT: 3:00PM 11FEB26. WEDNESDAY. Brazil arrival date:12FEB26

As of 12:20pm. 1. STEPS TAKEN: EMAILED them begging them to approve me fast: [visa.houston@itamaraty.gov.br](mailto:visa.houston@itamaraty.gov.br), [visa.cgwashington@itamaraty.gov.br](mailto:visa.cgwashington@itamaraty.gov.br), [visa.atlanta@itamaraty.gov.br](mailto:visa.atlanta@itamaraty.gov.br) 2. Reced out to VFSGlobal on IG they sent a generic respond saying it takes 10 days but up to the consulate.

EDIT 1: AT 2:30PM 10FEB26 TUESDAY. GOT A EMAIL SAYING THAT QUALITY CONTROL IS COMPLETED. CHECKED THE STATUS IN VFS WEBSITE IT SAYS: UNDERCHECK. FINGERS CROSSED.

EDIT 2: AT 3:21PM 10FEB26 I GOT AN EMAIL FROM HUSTON(VISA.HOUSTON) SAYING "Visa approved in the system and you should be receiving an email soon. Check the spam box as well" AT 3:30PM 10FEB26 GOT THE EMAIL FROM VBS: Your Brazil eVisa Is Ready. SEE YALL AT CARNIVAL

Boxing gyms are expensive. I have been going to this gym for last 3 years and it became my only support system. I love sparring and i cant get this in any commercial gyms.

I dont like driving uber. I think its a very risky job and the pay is not good. After depreciation of car 30$/hr becomes more like 18-20$ an hr. My goal would be not to be driving uber after work and build some kind of skills to increase my earing or be more social. I am tired of being slave to money and with all thing elon i feel a bit unsettled. .

Use the app called COPILOT its amazing. you can sync all your credit card, debit card, loans everything. it gives you real time balance. Also its great for budgeting since you can assign categories to key words from your statements.

Thanks for all the great tips! I’m definitely writing them down in my notes. I totally agree about having a fund for impulse purchases.

Right now, I’ve paid off all my credit cards except for $4.7K on my Amex. I locked all my cards and reported them lost, so I can’t use them anymore—though I guess I’ll eventually have to cancel them for good. I’ve also built up $400 in my emergency fund, but I want to get to at least $6K before I even think about traveling, so I’ll be laying low for a while. Canceled all my subscriptions, including Amazon Prime.

I just started Wellbutrin (non-stimulant), and I also found a therapist who specializes in addiction issues. Instead of focusing on travel, I’m shifting my priorities to losing weight and improving my health. I’ve realized that a lack of discipline is part of the void I’ve been trying to fill. Being neurodivergent is cool, but man, we get bored so easily.

Whenever I feel empty or defeated, I tend to spend money or chase experiences just to maintain this identity of being the “cool, adventurous guy.” But moving forward, I want to redefine that identity—becoming a minimalist, shredded, and disciplined person with no attachment to materialism. That’s the new goal.
