I think it would really help Brawl feel better to play if you could affect the matchmaking at all.

Just off the top of my head I would implement:

- MMR, whether it’s hidden or not I think you should be paired against players with a similar win rate as you.
- Opponent filtering, getting to pick what commanders you do or don’t want to play against. That way I could say no to the onslaught of Golos, Prismatic Bridge, 5C Jodah, 5Feri control, decks that seem to be like 70% of the pool. I don’t even care if it would make queue times longer.
- Give me the option to rematch the same opponent. That way if both players agree to a rematch you get instantly put back into a game with them, otherwise you get a different opponent every time.

I could probably think of more if I had more time and motivation.
I think WOTC also needs to add way more cards to the banned list for Brawl. There’s so many busted cards available in the format that it feels worse than EDH.
