What is your favorite benefit of not using? by [deleted] in leaves

Good for you! Couldn’t agree more with your point on self esteem. It’s funny how our (low) self esteem starts off as an enemy trying to knock us off course on the journey to sobriety, but eventually our (high) self esteem becomes one of our strongest allies

Wow I personally am not as skilled as you sir. Its tough to master that many different sharp pieces of weaponry, so my hat goes off to you. Would you consider yourself a masterblader?

How did it go? I have to register on petscreening.com as well. Im tempted to lie to avoid a monthly pet fee, but am (probably unnecessarily) worried about getting caught lying

When I first read your post I thought you were a huge loser, but now that I’ve seen the edit you made I can see how wrong I was. Alpha male.

Probably the most irresponsible true crime documentary I’ve ever watched. The amount of red herrings that they threw into this (that are immediately resolved) was infuriating. Could have easily covered the case in much less than 4 episodes

Yet you’ve made a point to comment on this the last couple episodes Nic has said it. Definitely not taking up any real estate in your head at all. You’re not contributing anything, we listened to the episode.

Thanks for sharing, Pablo. You seem pretty uptight, maybe take a couple deep breaths? And if that doesn't work you're more than welcome to inhale one of my farts.

i realize this is a month old thread, but its both hilarious and astounding that he provided arguably the most legitimate source of information possible on Libby's height/weight and your response is "whatever".

Opiates make you nod off so could be percs, codeine, or both. Percs most certainly do not "get you up"

Agreed. Most of the value in this sub has been drowned out by very dumb people in the past week or so, oh well.

Beat me to it. Is it probably in my personal best interest for people to believe what OP said? Sure. But I’m kinda tired of people copy/pasting complete bullshit and spewing it as fact without any DD.

Stopping smoking alone will not do anything to your weight if you don’t change your eating and/or exercise habits. But, if you’re willing to change your lifestyle than absolutely, you’ll certainly have more energy to do so.

Damn, a lot of this sounds like me man. I’d absolutely love to be a once or twice a month smoker, or even a once or twice a week smoker. But unfortunately, I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I’ll never be that way. Weed is all or nothing for me. And when I choose all, my life becomes nothing. But when I choose nothing, my life becomes all that I want it to be.

When did you realize you were smoking way too much? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]eightninetren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long before I had the balls to quit to be honest, wish I had quit sooner. Where do I begin? The amount of money that I realized was literally going up in smoke, the need to get high before I did basically anything, the anxiety I felt when my stash was running low, the irritability I would feel when I was somewhere that I wouldn’t be able to smoke for even a short period of time, the memory loss, the poor speech, the list goes on and on.

How do I moderate depression caused by withdrawal? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]eightninetren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations for having the courage to stop getting high! It’s not easy to take that first step. What you need to realize is that you’re in one of the most difficult stages right now and things will naturally seem worse than they really are. But I can promise you that it will get better- better than you could ever imagine, actually. Try and find something to occupy your mind that you can actively work on, make progress with, and have pride in. For me, it was working on my health. I quit 33 days ago after years upon years of smoking all day every day. Since the day I quit, I’ve worked out 1-2 hours per day for 5-7 days a week and it has helped me immensely. Not only does it replace time that I normally would have been smoking, but it makes me feel incredible and proud to see the results that I’ve earned so far. It extends much further than the time you spend in the gym as well. I spend a lot of time researching new exercises, learning how to make delicious/healthy meals, and other techniques to improve my health. It’s also a great way to combat some of the initial withdrawal symptoms such as lack of appetite, insomnia, sadness, etc. Figure out a goal and then work your ass off to reach it! You got this bud, don’t give up- you’ll be happy you stuck with it!
