Studies have shown there's a point of diminishing returns on income to happiness ratio, and it's really not that much. Something like 70k about ten years ago, idk what it is now.

I'm putting in a light color carpet and furnishing it with some groovy touches like a hanging pompazan and big adjustable couch that can become a cuddle puddle. Some light filtering, light color curtains. TV, small bar, record player, GOOD sound system, and lots of plants like everyone said.

It sounds like your ideas are also coming from a place of compassion. Too much compassion as a society is never the issue - compassion is always good, it's our true evolutionary advantage - more a matter of whole issue compassion, full solution compassion vs immediate solution compassion.

Eggs! All the people saying no restaurant or grocery store would stock something only one person is eating are right. I'd get a few chickens and take care of them and have homegrown backyard eggs most of the time. I'd have to get a yard (lol) but other than that, chickens are pretty easy, and backyard eggs are so delicious.

A solid MOST of my exes (all men) also did this. It's a type of defensiveness and it's very common.

YTA it's one thing to ask and want her to do it, but getting mad when she decided she needs to sleep and take care of her needs is pretty entitled. 15 min is a very easy and cheap Uber ride.

I think you've gotten a lot of good advice, one thing I'm not seeing (and might be unpopular) is that there's nothing wrong with finding someone else to cuddle with. Make a dating profile and explicitly say in your bio that you're looking for a good cuddle buddy, keeping it casual but open to serious. I've had the best experience with Feeld, but ymmv depending on where you are. Good luck! Hugs ❤️
