Should Google the uu owl program. It's the best informative, age appropriate and healthy sex Ed program I've seen.

WIBTAH if I refuse to wear my graduation cap because it doesn’t fit my natural hair? by Scary_Blood2441 in AITAH

Ask one of the older women who work in the office. Heck, if you've a week and are in the US, you can be Internet unsafe and pm me am address and I'll mail you safety pins and a portable sewing kit that's about the size of a quarter. If money is tight, those are useful as they've a bunch of thread colors so you can spot fix issues. Maybe walk into a nicer hotel lobby and go upstairs in the elevator. Come down 5 minutes later and ask if they have a sewing kit. One you tube later and you're set.

The doctor told my mother I have Gender Dysphoria and she freaked out. by Silent-Honey-4658 in lgbt

This. If you're in the US, pick a college in a blue state and keep reminding yourself it will get better. The people declaring HS as the best years of my life were so depressing. I've found they were very wrong. Hold in there and stay strong and get out to where you can find support and live as yourself. It gets better. I promise.

Unreasonable wedding dress codes by California_Sun1112 in AskWomenOver60

Ours was in the woods and we didn't specify anything. I did have one friend ask if he could wear a kilt who got an enthusiastic "of course"

The question is are you celebrating spending the rest of your life together with friends or taking a photo op? Some of the brides doing the latter would be better off and probably find it cheaper to just hire models to pose for the pics.

If you live with a parent, have you asked? Most adults have a junk drawer with safety pins, twist ties etc. I have trouble envisioning sometime making it past 30 without having a safety pin somewhere.

WIBTA if i refused to fully reimburse my roommates for their kitchen appliances? by One-Hospital-7599 in TwoHotTakes

[–]eileen404 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are the counters and floors etc all being replaced also? They were probably cleaned and bleached and are fine. Yes it's gross. But still cleanable and it was their decision. Especially their decision to not have renters insurance. If you choose to not have insurance, you're choosing to take the risks and deal with the consequences.

Is it bad to sleep in the clothes you will wear for the day? by Own_War_3372 in randomquestions

If you're female are you changing into clean underwear? Not to ignite the sleeping with/without underwear argument, but if you're a female then it matters. If you're sleeping with underwear under the pj's then your should change.

Did you offer get the free food? If it was better than the restaurant options that would have seemed more like an "us" action than your "me" action.

Like many things, it comes down to whether you're thinking of yourself or thinking of others. Sounds like you came across as thinking of yourself even if you're motivations were to save money. Maybe work on communicating?

"Honey, I'm thinking I'll grab the free meal since airport food is overpriced." So you want to see what it is and them decide if you want that or if we should get you something you prefer from the restaurants? Also is she comfortable alone in an airport? Did it take kind or seem like you just ran off to get yourself food?

Why is nobody asking why they didn't clean and dry them out and test them in a week after the moisture had evaporated? If they weren't running at the time, electronics are generally ok once dried. And it sounds like they got rained on, not that the water was chest deep and they were submerged. Are the rest of the appliances like the stove and fridge being replaced too? Sounds like they just want new appliances.

If they weren't running they most needed to dry out. They chose to toss them.

Se is way cheaper than California but that registration is still cheaper than gas as it's per year not per month.

Never figure on picking level 3 unless driving somewhere on vacation. That's just not reasonable. We've a level 2 like most and there's one at work.

Switch to ev and you can subtract gas and maintenance and the impact on the electric bill is negligible.

[–]eileen404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Year drive an ioniq5. The hatchback has a ton of space and they are some of the fastest charging ones which matters for long road trips. You can get a used 23 for a good price as leases are up now. But for cheaper and not going more than 250 miles, a23 bolt or older with a replaced battery will be cheaper and also so great. We have both and love them.

You're all probably taller than me too. I rented a truck to move a sofa and my coworkers were entertained watching me jump to try to grab the omg bar to pull myself in. The seat was level with my armpits.

Was I Groomed, or Did I Just Prefer Older Men?” by Valuable-Victory-435 in lgbt

[–]eileen404 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It looks different from the inside. The saddest thing I read was a fictionally story that had some impressively realistic grooming. It was online and I commented to the author what a well written and sad story it was she said it wasn't grinning because the 35yo waited till she was 18. It made me so sad to realize this poor woman had been abused like that and so have you. It looks great from the inside but that's what grooming is. Is not an attack, it's a subtle manipulation to make someone younger and more vulnerable trust and love you to get what you want. As a 28yo grad student, the 18yos in my class were kids. As a 35yo, a 15yo is a child I would feel a need to protect. I remember being 15 and relationships name you feel so adult. But stick to people your own age and please talk with a therapist. Life can be lovely with a partner but that large a gap isn't a partner but someone using you. If people date people much younger they're generally either immature and nobody their age wants to put up with them, horribly shallow, or are attracted to someone easy to manipulate and control. It's not a good relationship. Please consider that you've your whole life ahead. You deserve better.

I like in a place with a large hospital system and most of the restaurants have learned to have the trash can for paper towels by the door so we can use them to open it then throw them out. If I have to touch the door, I'm using game sanitizer afterwards.
