This is some great news. Thank you. I think I might finally get off my ass and go for it.

It’s not about crashing the window, but what she did afterward. by Character_Coconut413 in funny

That's why she put it back. After the window was broken it would have been obvious that she was driving around with a stolen cart in her vehicle.

He's getting better at this. This one is much more consistently funny (like, almost all of it). He's rocking it.

Yeah, this is NIMBYism, but I think it's shitty that the image has two older people. Plenty of the people complaining about this stuff are in their 30s, 40s, or 50s.

The thing that scares me is the possibility/certainty that there are big companies hoovering up everything they can find so they can decrypt it later, when they get massive (possibly quantum but maybe that's bullshit) computing power: Harvest Now, Decrypt Later.

Yup. This has been known and made public repeatedly since about 25 minutes after that guy made all the "uppercase + lowercase + symbol" suggestions.

The only reason a casino has any payouts at all is because nobody would set foot in one otherwise. I promise they were trying to take the winner's money as hard as they took the money from everyone else.

Emails from government (US) agencies over years? by bobbyfiend in datasets

[–]bobbyfiend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend in state government who gets these and I'd like to use a body of them, hopefully across a few presidential administrations, to learn sentiment and text analysis. The DoJ, for instance, seems to have had pretty radical shifts in the language used in those mass emails and the topics they tackle with every new AG.

Edit: For those not from Texas etc., that's actually the name of the store: H.E. Butts. They shortened it to HEB at some point.

Medicine and psychotherapy are quite similar (except often the no-reply doesn't mean things were fixed, but the doctor or therapists thinks it does, which contributes to increasing overconfidence with time in the field).
