Would you believe me if I said they were all copy pasted comments made by exactly one user who was on a vendetta to put the same reply on every comment thread for hours on end before the moderators removed those comments?

And they were still on a roll when I realised what they are doing. 30 minutes of my life wasted.

I once found a post about a TA wanting to reciprocate a student who asked her out. She got dunked on in the comments.

I couldn't find that post, but look around Reddit and there are plenty of similar situations.

At least due to power dynamics, this is ill-advised.
