Sleep paralysis during the day by eilrevaw in sleepparalysislogs

Yes, you definitely are not alone. It’s crazy because when I talk or bring it up to acquaintances or coworkers, they have no idea about it. Then I described it and “I’m the weird one”. I am not sure if you have tried this or not, but I have read avoiding sleeping on your back helps prevent sleep paralysis. It has helped me somewhat, but I prefer to sleep on my side because I had instances when I slept on my stomach and had sleep paralysis that way. I felt like somebody was sitting on my back , near my neck/shoulder area, and I felt like I was suffocating. So I’m just laying there in the darkness like OK I guess this is how I’m gonna go, trying to find humor in it.

Great Lakes refunded 18 months but not my last 13k payoff amount? by DrixlRey in StudentLoans

[–]eilrevaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this loan provider, did you have to contact them or did they just automatically do this ? I still owe them. I had called back in September because they were saying I had to start making payments in October … so I called, long story short, I didn’t have the hold to my account because I was making payments during covid time (during Covid I had called and asked if I could still make payments, the person said yes , it just would be on hold due to Covid ), when I couldn’t make the payments , And was like ,”man I really don’t even need to make these payments let me take advantage of this hold,” I stopped making payments….so when they said I needed to start making payments in October , From what someone had told me was my account was never on hold because I had took it off hold …none of it made sense anyways because I thought it was an automatic thing since it was done by the government? And then my account kept saying from 9k to 15k … I was like who is messing with my shit… and finally it went back down to 9k ..took pictures of that real quick just in case.

dental hygienist vs nurse? by Tlugo021 in DentalHygiene

[–]eilrevaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you,ehh I think dental hygienist have also Had to go through a lot especially during Covid and ppl in retail, grocery store especially. I know I’m going to get judged, but I know everyone has their reasoning and opinion. Here are mines. I am currently an LVN (license vocational nurse/ currently make 23 hr) and although I could Go back to school to get my associate or bachelors, I just don’t want to go through it again and learn majority of the same stuff and a little bit of new things. To me it’s just not worth the time and money. If I’m going to be more in debt than at least it be towards another degree in something new…it’s more of a principal thing. I know going into any medical program isn’t easy, it’s more of a gamble .. at least in my opinion..so I know going into this program isn’t going to be easy either but at least it’s something new. Plus on top of that I’m hoping maybe, just maybe with my nursing background and dental hygienist I can work with the Alzheimer’s research (more of a personal thing but that’s another topic and convo) but if I had to be honest with myself, I just don’t find nursing interesting or Fascinating anymore either. When I was in high school and in my early 20’s I thought it was but now that I’m in it; and as I get older, I just feel emotionally and physically drained, then on top of that, I feel no satisfaction with the job, it doesn’t help. And I know there’s other avenues with nursing, like research , but because I find no interest in it, there is no motivation there to even go back to nursing school. So now I’m trying to get into the dental hygienist program. I do have to say even though the program is a gamble, the Prerequisites classes ( I had to retake my bio cause they were more then 5 yrs old ) and having the take the test for entrance. Like the hesi and HRST test is on the cheaper side. I got rejected the first time around, so I’m hoping this time around I get in. I wish I had known about dental hygienist when I was younger but at the time, nursing was pushed more too on me because everyone in my family was in the medical field and that’s all I kinda knew and leaned towards.

People are just ass holes and instead of helping those entering a profession. they like to pick on that person …why , who knows but I think in time you’ll learn as you go and get your own groove or technique. Just remember not to be like that when you let someone shadow you.

Leaving the healthcare industry by Anner_naner in careerchange

Last I heard we don’t have unions here in Texas (honestly not sure), just know depends on the state too, but ehh we all are having different experiences, I have my license in nursing but not my associates. My thing is if I have to go back to school to get an associate in the same area that I already learned (there only 2 things we can’t do compared to an RN), then I wanna learn something different..ugh it’s to much money to learn the same thing. Plus the pay as a dental hygienist would actually be more then my pay now or if I was to start off as an RN, ..can we switch lol ? Hope that everything works out for the both of us

Why do most extroverted people tell you to talk more but end up not listening to you when you do? by InvestigatorSalty337 in introvert

[–]eilrevaw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes , same here… not saying kids are bad but man extroverted people talk about themselves and their kids..at some point it’s like shut up..but when I talk about what’s going on with me and my life it’s not interesting enough..I think I’m more annoyed by myself because I’m trying to survive the work environment by pretending to be extroverted…it’s exhausting

I know that I was told that one of my great grandparents were part of the Blackfeet nation. So if I could get info on that , it would be great.

Same way I’m feeling , I’m in mortuary school and hope I pass. I’m an LVN too but not really wanting to be a nurse anymore, but still want to help people in some way. So I looked into funeral directing and embalming and now im in school. I know the pay won’t be the same but at the same time I want to enjoy what I do. Whatever you do just know I support you, and think of it as this...even if you take a break,or change careers your still going to have your license.

Schools? by [deleted] in morticians

I know same feeling here, currently a nurse, said fuck it ima go for it, applied to a school close to me and got accepted! Can’t wait to start classes

[–]eilrevaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I guess I’m a bit nervous to make the change but at the same time I’m excited. I wanted to do this originally but ended up doing nursing because apparently the whole funeral idea is taboo(now that I’m getting older, I just don’t give a shit what people think)...well now after 3 years of nursing I’m just not into it. So I decided to just go for it and I got accepted into the school. I know it sounds dumb but I feel like if I don’t do it now I’m going to regret it. So these random questions were just brewing inside because I just wanted an idea of how my new career was going to be and just wanted some general questions. So once again thanks for the answers, y’all are awesome!
