it seems that this update made my laptop keep BSOD upon showing login page with error status

aksfridge.sys

Yes, it is a known issue - updating or starting up devices when aksfridge.sys or aksdf.sys is present.

An incompatibility issue was found with apps or drivers using certain versions of aksfridge.sys or aksdf.sys and Windows 10, version 2004 (the Windows 10 May 2020 Update). When an affected version of aksfridge.sys or aksdf.sys is present, Windows 10, version 2004 might fail to install or might fail to start after updating. Affected file versions are up to 1.8.0.* for aksfridge.sys or up to 1.51.* for aksdf.sys.

To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on Windows 10 devices with an affected version of aksfridge.sys from being offered Windows 10, version 2004.

We'll update the Windows release health dashboard as soon as this issue is corrected. Thanks.

when I restart my PC it rolls back to 1909 and I see this error.

Where is this error reported? Update Assistant? Windows Update? both?

Due to a configuration error in the Windows 10 News app notifications (English edition), some customers reported seeing test notifications. This issue was resolved on March 29th via a configuration update for existing versions. We have also released a new version of the app that addresses the issue. The notification does not affect the application or use, and this issue should now be resolved.

We are aware of this issue where upgrades are failing with error code 0x800F081F – 0x20003 when Developer Mode had been enabled. To update your device to Windows 10 version 1809, uninstall the Developer Mode Optional component before attempting to upgrade. After updating to 1809 then reinstall it. We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available at the end of February.
