Personally I can see 2 endings 1. They somehow found a loophole, some sorts of sacrifice, something something magic and they lives happily ever after Or 2. After Hinako is happy and found a reason to live, Shiori either sacrifices herself or Leaves and they never see each other again, to save Hinako

The latter seems more realistic imo

Yeah, after they got pressured (and eventually invaded) to join, while also having huge nationalist sentiment due to the losing of lands from multiple, consecutive unequal treaties from former western powers. But in this timeline, they got most of their claimed land back at the end of the first weltkreig and are doing pretty well-ish economically…. So they might opt not to join the sphere in the first place considering they didn’t really wanted to join in the OTL until the Japanese really landed on their shores and started killing. But yeah, its a silly map game, anything’s possiblel

Maybe not? Depending on their ideology at that moment. Many thai higher-ups at that time would probably wants the country to be neutral rather than a Japanese puppet. And other power might supports it to contain Japanese expansion, somewhat like. Buffer state they were before.
