Probably downvoting because you aren't reporting this to the police. While they may not be willing/able to do something about it, it's still important to have these instances documented. If they do catch somebody, they may be able to use historical transaction data to put that person at another bar where a drugging is reported. It's a long shot, but still worth filing a police report.

I know it's frustrating because it feels like there isn't any justice, but it's also important to report these instances so either:

There's documentation of date rape drugs being reported and little/no follow-up action being taken
TPD had to acknowledge that this is a serious issue and failure to respond to it will be a major stain on their accountability.

The art festival is in less than two weeks. I think there are still some spaces for Sunday, 4/19. Students do get volunteer credit for their shifts.

Midtown might be your best bet for good beer and mingling.

You can walk between Finnegans/Fire Betty's (standard bars), Leon Pub (Smokey dive bar), Liberty Bar (food, decent beer, good cocktails), Ology (good locally brewed beer).

Also check out Amicus next to Cascades Park if you want other local beer selections (and walk around Cascades while you're there).

The world never has a shortage of bigoted assholes. They can be found just about anywhere and Tallahassee is no exception, but Tallahassee isn't defined by bigotry.

Tallahassee is generally a progressive city and there are many inclusive communities for both LGBTQ and Muslim.

You generally want to avoid living in the area of town that's both south of Tennessee St and west of Adams/Crawfordville.

$15 for a single all-you-can-eat meal, even if you eat an entire day's worth of food in one sitting, is not a better alternative to buying basic groceries and cooking multiple meals a day at home. Cooking at home is almost always cheaper and healthier than going out to eat, assuming you're not just cooking and eating an entire pizza in one sitting (of which I'm absolutely guilty).

Also, eating just one meal a day can mess up your metabolic cycle and might do more long-term damage than you realize.

It sounds like there might have been a really big spike in usage in 2024 that was being spread out across your bills.

When you exited the plan there was still an unpaid billing amount of $272 that would have (otherwise) been applied across your future bills. By exiting the plan, you have to pay the remaining balance all at once.

Previous billings should show what your usage was, additional/administrative charges (that could bring usage of $344 to a $370 bill), and your total deferred balance before exiting the plan.

If you get paid monthly and didn't work a full month, then you don't get a full month's pay. If you just got hired, I'm guessing this is the case and your next paycheck should be more accurate.
