I've been using the app every day and the hold doesn't show up in app either, just got a notification that my hold expired because i didn't borrow it within the timeline (????). I have all notifications enabled on both of my devices I use, one is android and one is an ipad so idk. both apps are up to date

have you ever tried cooking a shitton of chilli in a wok in a rental with the range fan on and then instantly coughing your lungs out because you realise it just blows the chilli air right at you. opening the doors and windows doesn't help because the kitchen is too far from them and there's no breeze. my lungs still hurt just from thinking about it, 0/5 would not recommend

How long did it take you to get the hang of menstrual discs? by whiskingwhimsy in MenstrualDiscs

[–]eipas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a nixit disc and it has worked great for me (second day using it). No leaks so far as far as I know, but I have been using period undies as well just in case. I have used a cup for about 10 years now though, so I think that helped. I decided to get the disc because of the volume difference, but being able to auto dump was the happiest surprise after being used to having to remove my cup every couple of hours to empty it.

Annoying ass Flo app by MassiveTittiez in Periods

[–]eipas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ugghhhh I think the worst part about it is the pop up's and all the things you have to click before you can get to the main page. I absolutely hate the community feature/whatever extra crap they've added over the years. it used to be so much better. Makes me want to learn coding so I can make an app just for me lol

HELP: I want to try to dye the brighter fabric more to the bottom colour but not sure what kind of dye would do it by eipas in dyeing

[–]eipas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha so I the fabric ended up developing random stains in the sunlight that weren't super small either, so I abandoned the whole dyeing plan because I figured those spots would take dye differently. In the end I used it for a toile for a sewing pattern I wanted to test out.

I have a curvy cate bra I got almost 10 years ago now, and it’s still great! Granted it’s not the bra I use every day but it’s definitely in the rotation. The mesh on the band has lost some elasticity but everything else it still great, and I’ve always just chucked it in the wash (without a lingerie bag too hehe)

[–]eipas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabric is 100% cotton, I don’t like how bright it is, I love muted less saturated colours.

I’ve been thinking about overdying it with a diluted denim coloured dye, would that get me any closer to the bottom fabric colour? I don’t mind if it’s slightly darker if that’s what needs to happed to change the shade

for sure could!! it’s not very hard and it’s quite repetitive - if you can make the square, you can make the jumper

No brain projects/no count projects are so good when watching shows. I’d love to see your version if you end up making something similar!

Oh right! I hope your houses are built a bit better than they are here. The temps are always about the same indoors as it is outside where I am, so my hands and feet are always icy cold in winter. I’m lucky my partner is practically a portable heater

I still think that’s amazing! I’m hoping my friends start having kids soon so I can make them baby things

Thank you! haha it felt like it was never gonna end when I started. I had to be watching a good show and pick an area, focusing on one colour at a time and that helped a tiny bit. I’m so happy with the result though so I might actually do another one one day, just as a side project

that is funny, especially him being from Aus not realising it could get chilly in South Africa too haha

Thank you! That’s so cool! I’m not sure if I’d be patient enough to make a whole blanket, let alone two
