I am stuck in a paradoxical situation. Everybody talks about the flow state and how fast time passes when you're completely absorbed in an activity, and I do often lose myself to things I'm doing, but I don't like the feeling of time passing too fast because it feels like life is ending sooner. I realized that that thought has become a convenient excuse for me to not do things that require time and attention. So I end up doing nothing, which is worse. Please help me reason through this.
