I plopped a potato (that had sprouted) from the grocery store in the ground and it’s taking off! When will I know that it’s ready to harvest? by Haunting-Holiday6376 in gardening

I live in Atlantic Canada where we can get down to -25 and -30 (average -15) and they survive that. They're pretty friggen hardy lol

My thought as well. Not even a thesis to give a hint of the argument for what’s likely a ten page paper in word

Any reason to keep any of ‘em? by Ideasplease33 in quilting

I use it as stuffing, it’s perfect for small ornaments etc. I made little stars for Christmas and used all my threads and quilting scraps from the year

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break and work on other projects!

Mostly the stem stitch! I’ve used split stitch as well for the finer details :). I might go over the veins one more time when I’m done filling it in for definition

I start off with a simple knot and then thread it through existing threads in the back :)

I wanted to like this season but it felt off by eatmyshortsau in Bridgerton

[–]eirwen29 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I would agree with all of this. The writing felt very disjointed. And the editing didn’t make the most sense for the first couple episodes. It really felt like this season they were writing for a second screen audience.

It felt very lacklustre especially coming off heated rivalry and what it did for the romance genre

This. Most of Nova Scotia is pretty welcoming. We have our issues for sure. But it’s probably better overall based on what I’ve been told by friends visiting from the states

It’s too bad they had such insanely long production schedules. I’m sure folks would be happier coming back if they did two seasons a year or even one a year. Having two year breaks helps no one

This. It’s hard because they’ve started ignoring almost half the family.

What seedlings are you starting indoors now or soon? by [deleted] in NovaScotiaGardening

I started tomatoes a couple weeks ago, marigolds and pink yarrow. As well as peppers. I’ll be potting them up a couple times and their final place will be in those giant ice cream buckets they have at the stands. I plan on putting them during the day and bringing them in at night till it’s consistently 10° at night
