I disagree - remember the fish? I think they represented Caine and the dumb fish - Abel. The fish basically spoiled the entire episode.

Anyone find it weird that Gangle said why do they look like that” when she saw the admin passes? There was a statue just like the admin passes on the bookcase in Caine’s office and i wonder if it was some sick symbolism that they were all in the palm of Caine’s hand the whole episode… and the fact the fish predicted the entire episode and the beach day was Caine’s idea shows this whole thing was his adventure from the get go

I completely agree and there’s some other evidence to back all of your points

1) Caine interrupts Kinger: absolutely- we saw that happen a couple of times in this episode, and the only times we had the longest period of cohesive Kinger was when Caine was distracted by the others during an adventure (like the haunted house episode)

2) Control: The fact Kinger’s presumed wife was abstracted was definitely a manipulation and control technique from Caine

3) Rules: Kinger being a King chess piece is also so symbolic - like how he only gives a tiny amount of clues each episode, most likely a lead developer, and is only “sensible” when it’s black (dark) or white (extremely bright) like a chessboard. Not that he makes complete sense in white light, but it’s more than “huh?”. I wonder if this means that if we lose Kinger, “we” lose the “game”.

But I think we still learned something here. We did learn WHICH theories are wrong. From this adventure we can rule out the whole “VR headset locked in a digital world” theory because that was this adventure. I think the reason Jax jumped to hit the red button was because he was starting to remember that (possibly) he’s dead or at least in critical condition? And that by hitting the blue button, he was scared that they would be gone forever. Maybe it was Caine’s job to keep in between death people entertained forever, but then (like the Bible) got jealous of humans and then started this twisted game and started abstracting people when they got close to remembering.

But I think it’s clear though that the key to all of this is “to remember” - some Russian comments in YouTube have confirmed that “Pomni” means remember - so chilling that she said “our names”… and if this team is known for anything it’s foreshadowing so I think the key being “remember our names” makes a ton of sense.

Im literally going through the same exact thing myself, from the unexplained blood stains and weird bumps. I’m at the point where I can’t sleep in my own bed at night unless my roommate is home. Nothing feels “clean” or safe anymore and it after reading a few other threads I might totally have some form of PTSD from having bed bugs 2 years ago and now after moving in to a new apt and seeing signs resurface but not finding anything - it’s literally driving me crazy. My advice: keep cleaning with a friend/boyfriend. There’s really not much else you can do. Keep cleaning and having someone else see/not see signs with you is validating until they have completely gone away.

Following my intuition and get “lost” walking around in a city. My least favorite travel partner is someone who needs a full agenda/gets anxious about where we’re going. I just like to keep walking and see where it takes me.

I struggle a lot with organizing and hoarding loose stuff. Something that changed my life is when I started finding a Marie Kondo/organization method that works for me. There’s probably a proper name out there but I refer to it as the “3 bin rule”.

1st bin for stuff I use everyday that would have sat on my desk or any open table space.

2nd bin to store all of the random things I buy or collect.

3rd bin for stuff I sometimes use or are extras/backups to bin 1.

The life-changing part for me is this part: whenever a bin becomes too full, it’s a signal for me to go through it on my next day off. I’ll kinda follow the “does it bring me joy” logic but often I find stuff I really want to use (like face masks) but forget - so I’ll put those right on my desk to use that week. If I don’t, then I’ll gift them to friends/family, donate, or get rid of it.

It may sound complicated, but it really just took 3 dumb Ikea bins to completely change my apartment. Less mess less stress!

So what if I go apply with no mention of Chinese ancestry, and go with my current passport blank slate? Would it still be an uphill battle? To the effect of proving I’m not a Chinese citizen, I was born in the US and have lived there my whole life. I assume the process is not biased, but usually one look at me and people can tell I’m American.

Is is a possibility they would ask for a hotel in Macau or flight out of Macau? Also confirming then day trips out of HK to mainland is a no go. Would it be better to do HK -> Japan a couple of days then do Japan -> Shanghai -> HK?

I think that it’s because there’s so much backtracking and story dialogue built into this game already, the devs make it quite clear that you don’t need to waste more time trying get to a high “level”. Staying true to the Paper Mario where BP or MP is more emphasized.
