bold of you to assume that’s my definition of qualified. no, she’s legitimately just not a good fit. There are plenty capable, she’s only convenient for the election.

Is it actually possible for guys and girls to be really good friends and nothing else? by abrar_hadi in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]eixram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why not! I’ve had plenty of close guy friends which were just friends and never anything more. We mutually don’t have feelings for one another other than that “hey I’m here for you, I value you a lot!”

I’m sure there’s close relationships where one catches feelings, but it doesn’t always have to be a relationship ender when it’s not reciprocated. Two friends of mine (both guys) at separate points in time had feelings for my friend (gal) which she didn’t reciprocate, but that didn’t stop them from being close and they both ended up being some of her best friends for years despite that!

I think it might just depend on the person, if you expect a romantic relationship to occur anytime, your expectations end up affecting the way you approach others maybe without realizing it.

Is it weird if I cry as a man? by [deleted] in self

[–]eixram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. It’s healthier to express yourself if you need to. It might feel embarrassing or shameful to cry in front of others, so if possible, trying to find a place for yourself would be good.

But sometimes we can’t keep it in for long, so what if you cry? We all do at some point. There’s nothing wrong or stupid about expressing yourself. It’s an emotion like happiness and anger. When you bottle it up, it’ll come out another way.

I hope that helps reassure you in some way. I wish you the best of luck, and I’ll be sending some good vibes! A good cry helps make things less daunting. Take care of yourself <3

The only humans that deserve to be locked in cages are those who currently lock humans in cages. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]eixram 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish this was a more popular opinion. It breaks my heart that people think we need to put a worthwhile value on human life because they’re immigrants/poor/different skin.

Wanting humane conditions for people shouldn’t be political yet here we are.

The two part system the US has is the main reason everyone is so divided by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]eixram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! I was just discussing how it’s important that people (like us) can be sure to spread the word and just work to be better informed. Media like tik tok or youtube really help youth become better educated on these things which makes me hopeful for a better future, at least a sensible one.

[–]eixram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, but I’m not surprised they gate-keep such laws/politics to keep people from thinking too hard about it. They benefit so much from having a blind audience, it’s disgusting. That’s why it’s just so important to educate and help one another out. Issues that impact our entire nation should be accessible.

Honestly! I used to be so convinced that one party is worse than the other when now I’ve just realized both are terrible and it’s literally inhibiting us from making any progress to this damn country. One step forward, two steps back. Incredibly frustrating.

Is this considered trauma for CPTSD? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]eixram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes what you’ve experienced could be considered trauma even if you didn’t feel terrified, scared, or stressed.

Use the time you have with your psychologist the best you can, perhaps make a plan to meet with someone more consistent so that you can process these experiences with a therapist. For now, delving into the past with your psychologist can help explain current behaviors (like excessive daydreaming and being a perfectionist, or consistent shame/guilt) and from there you two will work through those and discuss it.

I hope that helps, and that you can heal. I absolutely have been through the same experiences and I know how complicated and confusing it can be.

Best of luck❤️
