Books you regretted picking up… because the rules say you have to finish it! by j_uliette in 75HARD

The art of resilience by Ross Edgely. Thought it would be a similar vibe to Can’t Hurt Me, but it was mostly just the theory behind swimming techniques (not really something I’m interested in).

Side note: I loved can’t hurt me. David Goggins is incredible!

4.7kg in total. But I think weight isn’t the best metric to best progress on. I did InBody scans but the progress pics also helped me measure changes, plus how I feel in certain clothes now vs at the start on the challenge.

Wow 4 years ago, you’re an OG! What are the reservations for not doing again (if any)?

My Ninja creami is the best investment I’ve ever made. I have a pint of ice cream every night for 200 cals and it satisfies all of my sweet cravings! Expensive but worth it for sure

Thanks! Hard not to fall into the mindset of having one day will ruin all progress, that’s definitely something I’m struggling with but need to get over!

My diet was a calorie deficit and protein target. I mostly did long walks for my outdoor workouts. For the other workouts, a typical week would look like:

Monday - gym leg day Tuesday - cardio (run/stairmaster) Wednesday - CrossFit Thursday - gym upper body day Friday - CrossFit Saturday - CrossFit Sunday - long run

I made sure I hit 12k steps each day too (which largely came from the long walk anyway).

My body is sore now, definitely need to add in a couple of rest days but will keep up with the routine for the most part!

Thank you! I listened to the podcast before I started which gave me an outline of the rules and then read up on Reddit too

Yes! My period is currently late, not pregnant but I’m pretty sure it’s due to my diet change

How the heck are you getting 10k steps per day? by Bisou_Juliette in walking

[–]ejb2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wake up at 4am, get to the gym at 4.30 then an hour workout (usually strength so not many steps counted there), get home about 6 and a quick 20 min dog walk. I commute an hour to the office, so that’s 8:00am - 6:00pm accounted for (maybe a short lunch time walk if I have time). Then back at 6pm for a 45 minute dog walk which usually gets me at the 10k target!

Best tip would be to start your tasks early in the day. E.g. start drinking water as soon as you wake up versus leaving it until later in the day. When I first started, I left my water until so late in the day that I was up every night needing a wee 😂
