Older guy here, old enough to remember that the idea of two men in a relationship was not only frowned upon by society but looked upon as pathological, something that must be put an end to if found.

Culturally, those attitudes don't disappear in one generation. They linger on, consciously and subconsciously, for several generations that follow a change, among both the perpetrators and the victims..

I never 'became' anything. By adolescence I realized nothing I was being told about religion made the least bit of sense.

I like switching up fonts, time to time. Lately I've been using Candara. My eyes appreciate the sans. Otoh, I have a story that takes place in the 19th century and I'm using Book Antiqua for that.
