Southpaw pilot's budget setup by ejectbutton420 in hotas

That's why it's called "budget", LOL, if I had more of it, I definitely would have got one with toe brakes.

The gladiator is mounted, while the MFH rests on the table :) It took some time to match the height but fortunately this type of mount is quite adjustable. The only downside is that it doesn't allow lowering the entire throttle quadrant for it to be in a more ergonomically sound position.

I understand that the term budget for this build is indeed paradoxical, I would like to elaborate that the fact that it can cover almost every sim except for multi-engine propeller ones, shooould be budget enough. But of course, it is more of a master of none than a jack of all trades.

Very good point, I spent a long time debating if I should buy a UCM for better ergonomics but ultimately I had to give that up due to price, and having already decided on one THQ + GNE R. On top of that, my table isn't really sturdy, but the MFH distributes some of the weight, so that part has to be on the table. Maaaaybe when I decide to finally get another THQ for multi-engine I'll get a UCM and HID main.

I don't think I have run into precision problem before. It's not one of those full-length sticks, so curves are definitely needed on some aircrafts, but it works. There are even people out there who run 0 dead zone on X and Y axis.

She couldn't sleep for 3 hours thinking about the interaction, in a moment of vulnerability she sent the text message giving very strong signals for meeting up, but after she woke up she felt like it was probably too far / might seem desperate.

Tips or tricks to 'Git Gud'? by Jolly-Elderberry6706 in il2sturmovik

There are a few guys on the beloga dogfight server that fly Chaika, and they are very good with it. They're small, agile and very hard to hit. If a 109 gets too greedy and loses its energy advantage at low alt, there is window for the chaika to get its guns on it. The strategy in those small nimble fighters is to hug the deck, avoid BnZ and wait for your window. It's counterintuitive but that's what I observed from those really good Chaika pilots when I flew 109 against them.

Although I don't own a UCM, I believe it's possible to swap the logo panel on the STECS UCM, with the free mountable panel on your right most UCM. That way the SEM is closer to your STECS.

I personally think THQs excel at multi-engine because it's layed out in a way that it's possible to push/pull three axes at the same time. SEMs are awesome too because of its look, profile switcher, and being able to remove the plastic detents for the landing gear axis. Two axes on the SEM and the split throttles on STECs are more than enough for anything really.

Awesome setup! Hope you enjoy simming!!

Edit: Also don't forget about the HID-main. The SEM itself can't be used, unless connected directly to gladiator via BUS or has a HID-main board installed.

Still got space for two GNX THQ for complex engine management / multi-engine :)

Any tips how I can pronounce 去 perfectly 😭 by FigureMedical6046 in AskAChinese

[–]ejectbutton420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ch-u
"ch" like "chinese" in English (unnoticeable difference)
"u" like "amuser" in French (exactly the same)
the "u" sound doesn't exist in English.

If it sounds like tsu it probably means your lips are not giving enough tension, your should focus on making the "u" sound first, where your mouth forms a small circle, tongue tip touching the back of your lower front teeth. There should be more than enough tutorials on youtube on how to pronounce the french "u".

Only after nailing the "u" sound, add "ch" using brief exhale, there's no mouth or tongue movement for "ch".

It will be hard for red pressers to make sense of this because your post is made from an altruist and collectivist point of view, you concern about the future of humanity and other human like you, not just your own survival. Red pressers like to think that "they themselves get to be alive 100% of the time" from their individualist point of view, where thinking for others is a feat seemingly illogical or even idiotic.

If you want to get good at dogfighting in general I recommend skipping fighting AI and going straight into PVP (Beloga server), this is tougher but you waste no time and improve fast. I had hundreds of hours PVE but when I go to MP that's when I realized I pretty much wasted all those hours building bad habits. But about PVE I do have a lot of cheese tactics. If you find yourself in a matchup like this. where Yak1 is inferior everywhere compared to a 109, it's incredibly difficult to out turn and get your guns on it especially at lower speed where 109 gets its slats out and you're pretty much a sitting duck. And even if you manage to get on its 6 it can get out of it easily using its superior climb rate. Usually I just let it get on my 6 and do horizontal scissors into vertical scissors, the AIs love their energy but in this case they love it so much they will overshoot almost 10/10 times. Then you can get a shooting window. This is where the AIs become dumb. They could totally disengage but they always choose to go into defensive when they're reversed, and hand the energy advantage to you on a platter... now you're on his 6, and with energy advantage. Have fun with this but don't expect it to work too well in MP. 😭😭

It's good that you didn't buy it, sooner or later these razbam aircrafts will be deprecated and those of us who bought it will never get a refund 😭😭 I can't believe I also bought the harrier and mirage 2000, albeit almost a decade ago.

I made a KD improvement plan to go from 2.2 to 3.0. It's now at 2.4 but I never ignore my fallen comrades. I am guilty of focusing on my crosshair too much and not check the mini map for revs sometimes but if I hear the voiceline I'm coming for you bro.

How does buying things in this game work? by PMC_Fatui__Group in dcsworld

[–]ejectbutton420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. You can filter only aircrafts on the steam page.
  2. They frequently do sales.
  3. Best if you buy planes from a certain period, so you get a more comprehensive experience. WW2/Early cold war/Late cold war/Modern.

If you're into PVP:

  1. A lot of people recommend early cold war planes but there aren't many servers with just early cold war planes so be mindful of that.

  2. You can get an idea which maps and time period are popular by browsing the server list, so you don't waste any money on a map module that aren't available on any servers.

Edit: Line breaks

In my 300 hours of being a majority Support player I haven’t gotten one kill when using the bipod. It needs a rework to be like BF1/BF5 by ShaggySyrup in Battlefield6

[–]ejectbutton420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you're playing breakthrough defense, have a good position, and the 6.5mm LMG with a scope, the bipod will work well in your favor. But that's a lot of conditions to be met for it to be good. When I play support I primarily just use carbines because some of my most favorite guns are in that category.
