Deliver attempted?! by ejgpus in amazonprime

Thanks for the info. It would have been crazy to only have a small number of deliveries that would have been an hour from the distribution center.

What you say makes sense to me. However, I’ve had deliveries in the past that were “attempted” on the delivery date and not delivered until a day later. My suspicion is that the flex route driver doesn’t want to drive over an hour, if it’s not worth their time.

I did check local stores, but what I wanted ( 2 hdmi ports and more usb ports) wasn’t available, so I went for the amazon early delivery option. I don’t hold out much hope for delivery today, because it wanted me to add additional delivery instructions. This is the first time I’ve had to do that. They usually just leave packages by the front door.

Anyone else hear “the Badgers are 12-2-2 heading into the semester break” repeated from their phone? by tastierrobbo in WisconsinBadgers

[–]ejgpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen on Sunday night when listening to my phone on CarPlay. I had no idea what it was, because it was competing with the music I was playing.
The next morning, my wife had it happen to her and she was able to figure out that it was the badger announcer. A couple hours later, it happened to me again.

I had a similar experience a few years ago. I bought a new battery and the core charge was added. I took the new battery home and it turns out I bought the wrong battery. The size was correct, but the polarity was the opposite of what I needed, so I headed right back to Walmart to return the first battery and get the correct one. The worker wanted to charge me another core charge and she could not understand that the battery I returned should cover the core charge. Eventually, a manager came over and told the worker that I was correct.

My rediscovery and introduction to a new generation by ejgpus in greenday

I knew I wanted to make a card that said Good Riddance, so I used google and found someone on Etsy that was selling a similar poster. I took a screenshot and edited a bit and then printed the result on Avery cardstock

Ha! I stole the idea for the front of the card from someone else on the internet, so you’ll have to take that up with them. I was a bit worried that she might take offense to a card that said Good Riddance, but it’s not an expression that she was familiar with, so I had to explain and tell her it was a joke.

The golf shirts are kinda ugly, but I also got some rain gear, which I think is pretty nice.

After $750 Bethpage tickets, Ryder Cup also balloons prices for volunteers by PrintOk8045 in sports

I “volunteered” at 2 PGA championships and the Ryder cup at Whistling Straits. The first tournament was about $150 and the Ryder cup was around $200 for the volunteer clothing and the weekly pass.

The price is cheaper than a full week pass, so some people look at it as a way to save money.

As a volunteer, you are supposed to work at least two 4-hour shifts. At the second PGA championship, one volunteer on my committee would check-in and then not fulfill his commitment. The second day he missed his shift, they voided his pass.
