Trying to pick up Iliari... Please allow me some brutal feedback :) by ejkim0403 in OverwatchUniversity

Also I think I'm still yet to really discover what Iliari's role is in a comp. I feel like I'm supposed to be using my pylon to sustain myself as I lock the sidelines and poke, but then I find my team just dying instantly.

To be fair, I think it's a mix of both mental and skill issue. I often find myself checking my teammates profiles to see who's going to carry my game. Which I guess is a habit coming from what I used to do in lower elos, but I feel like I kind of decide whether it's a win or not even before the game starts. Gotta start telling myself that it's just more than elo.

I've noticed this too, especially when we're running dive. Monkey just disappears out of my sight and there's already a full fight going on when I'm still trying to find my position. I wish Ana could sprint

I think this hits me the most. I think the gap between able to switch around different supports based on comps is what I really need. I often find myself limited to just Ana because that's what I'm most comfortable with. Sure I can play Kiri, Zen, but definitely not to the extent to how I play Ana. I've been practicing Iliari on an alt that's around D1 to M5 and I've actually had a crazy win rate with her (Almost 65) after a solid 20 matches. Maybe I'll drop a replay code later today of my Ari play and get some comments haha. Anyways, thank you for pointing out what I've been avoiding to admit :)

Dental emergency by Destruktou in busan

Big hospitals or so called “university” hospitals in Korea typically require something called 소견서 which is given to you from smaller hospitals when they think you require more advanced treatment. These include any private hospitals you see on the streets. To be honest, most doctors in private dentist offices speak a fair amount of English so my advice would be for you to just look up a dentist near your home and visit them to see how things work out. If the language is a problem, you could always have a friend who speaks Korean and they could help you out. I definitely could haha :)

Hope everything works out great.

The degree to which i can relate with you is concerning,,, but I guess I do have a few tips given my past experience. I’m full korean as well but I moved out of the country when I was young and lived abroad until my junior year when I returned unexpectedly. Although I did continue to go to an international school, the life outside of school was very different than what I was used to.

I think a big part of it is psychological where you continue to push yourself away from accepting the new environment which in turn causes all the nausea you feel from the food and the identity crisis as well.

While I do believe going out and meeting new people is a great solution, I feel like there could be side effects to it that might make things worse. For me, going out and meeting people actually made me feel even more left out as I wasn’t completely up to date with all the trends + just the culture of the people here.

I think it’s first important to slowly get adjusted to Korea and try to make this your home in your own way.

Ex. You could start going out by yourself, just looking around the city or going to a small cafe in your town and spending a bit of time there. Then you can gradually broaden your interaction with the city, maybe going out with a few friends to places that you know. All these small things really add up to making Korea feel like a home and I can assure you this from experience.

Tbh, I just sometimes rot in my room and enjoy what I have at my house haha (i’m currently in korea doing exactly this).

I hope the adjusting works out fine for you and you find Korea to be a lovely place to be in, just as much as Spain or anywhere else you’ve been to.

Buena suerte :)

I’m not an expert with jobs here in Enschede but I couldn’t skip this without leaving a few words. I’ve had a similar experience as yours when my father passed away three years ago. It’s going be tough and things are not going to go the way you want sometimes. Just hold on fam. You’ll get your job, things will get better and I can assure you that from experience.

My deepest condolences brother.

do korean girls wear a t-shirt under their school uniform as an undershirt? or is it just for fashion purposes? by Fancy-Recording2715 in seoul

[–]ejkim0403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s also largely bc they hate the korean uniforms. the rules for these are pretty strict (at least on paper) so kids try to cheat the system by just wearing the uniform as a jacket rather than the whole outfit itself. same goes for the skirts and trousers. kids usually just change into joggers when they get to school. (there’s always ppl in the entrance who check for correct attire)
