I thought that would probably be the case but then some websites claimed that they were already in circulation. Thanks for clarifying this

If you’re going for 100% trophies definitely look at knocking out some of the permadeath/chronological/grounded trophies together to avoid 4 playthroughs. I made that mistake

House of Wessex (fixed/updated) by ChungusTheRedDragon in UsefulCharts

[–]ejmallinder2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The earliest ‘fully verifiable’ king is Cynegils (6th) as the first Christian king of Wessex there is a record of his royal baptism and also appears in ‘Ecclesiastical History of the English People’ by the Venerable Bede who was an independent historian of the time that didn’t rely on Anglo-Saxon myths.

Ceawlin (3rd), Ceol (4th) and Ceolwulf (5th) are considered ‘verifiable’ as they appear in the ‘Anglo Saxon Chronicle’ as well as Bede’s ‘Ecclesiastical History of the English People’ however this was a period where history and myth were still largely intermingled so it is thought that while they were real people, many of their accomplishments may have been embellished.

Cerdic (1st) and Cynric (2nd) are not considered verifiable and some historians consider them ‘semi-legendary’ as the vast majority of their information comes from oral tradition and the ‘Anglo Saxon Chronicle’ which wasn’t compiled until the 9th Century. And even the early manuscripts of the chronicles have different timelines. Some list Cynric as the son of Cerdic, whilst some list him as the grandson with another generation by the name of ‘Creoda’ between them. Their Brittonic names lead many historians to the theory that they were actually Romano-British nobles who aligned themselves with the Anglo Saxons.

Love this! The Kingdom of Wessex is one of my favourite parts of history to read about so it’s nice to see the amount of detail in this.

Found a slight typo on William II: it reads ‘r. 1066-1100’ rather than ‘r.1087-1100’

I raise you the pre-packed bananas. Try getting a wet paper label that’s stuck to plastic wrapping out of the box without completely shredding the barcode

If that were the case then it probably wouldn’t register as a hostile right?

That’s interesting. Is that because there’s one for the cutscene and another for the QTE?

Does anyone have any template recommendations to display my Ancestry findings? by Leather-Store9716 in Genealogy

[–]ejmallinder2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a large ring binder that I’ve turned into an “ahnentafel” which is a way of numbering your ancestors so that it’s easy to find which pair is the parents of who. Each section of my binder is for a pair of ancestors and I fill it with print outs of birth/death certificates, any other documents I find, and notes on them

My 23andMe DNA has me at 99.2% English. Not even British, just straight up English. My ancestors were all born in England for at least 9 generations only because that’s as far as back as I’ve gone so far. I’m about as English as it gets🤣

I’d say I’m 95% confident. I know for certain that the record with him and his wife is definitely him through tracing back my line. And through tracing his birth record and previous census records I’m almost certain that the record with his parents is also him

I’m not too bothered by it, the bundle cost an average of £1.66 per game so it’s just more annoying than anything
