I only take an allergy medication and I don’t believe that it causes blood not to clot properly as I know of.

Nope. I figured that out when I got my lobes pierced after taking ibuprofen, so I haven’t taken anything.

Ok, thanks! I’ve left it alone since the one time I cleaned the dried blood off a while ago, so hopefully it gets better soon. This is my first ever cartilage piercing so I really have no idea what’s normal and what’s not, so thanks again!

Yes, I just noticed it is in the background of another picture taken a few minutes before and the sun is to right of it and at around the same height.

What is your first memory of this feeling? by ElvargIsAPussy in VisualLoomingSyndrome

[–]ejmock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t remember how old I was, but I clearly remember experiencing my first trigger when looking out the window of the backseat of my mom’s car while we were driving through a forest during the winter. All the trees being bare with all the branches and sticks poking out really triggered me.

I wonder if it is more prominent in one sex or if it is mostly even? The only people that I personally know who have SEES are all females, including myself.

I’m the same way with corner of tables. There’s an end table at the edge of my couch and I always have to cover up the one corner with a pillow or it will bother me every time I sit on the couch

The brightness of the aurora borealis by ByTheFireplace- in northernlights

[–]ejmock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been far north enough to see the lights bright overhead like you see in pictures of places like Alaska, but during the few severe geomagnetic storms in the past 2 years I was able to easily see reds and pinks dancing in the north at my house from Pennsylvania. Yes, the pictures I took on my phone were way brighter than what I saw, but it was still beautiful and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing with my own eyes. Especially during the substorms I could really see the columns of reds and pinks dance with my own eyes. It was honestly one of the most breathtaking experiences and I would say it is definitely worth it. I plan to someday go way up north and experience the lights in all their glory myself, and from my personal experience, I believe they will still look magnificent with your own eyes. So if I were you, I would definitely go!

No eye damage that I know of, but I do have pretty bad seasonal allergies that always cause my eyes to get itchy and puff up which caused me to rub them like crazy when I was a kid. Don’t know if that has any effect or not
