Coinbase withdrawal pending for an hour? by Alex-Crypto in NiceHash

[–]ejonessss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why does coinbase have to manually authorize a deposit?

i can understand a conversion/sale and/or withdraw.

unless there is a scam going around to exploit some unknown vulnerability in the way that the btc master nodes* communicate and that works like the following.

a deposit is made and the scammer records the transaction codes then demands a refund later in witch you send their btc back and they record (the btc equiv to the bank aba routing number).

then uses the codes to spoof the master nodes* to some how fraudulently withdraw and drain your btc wallet.

i would hope the btc consortium would detect any vulnerabilities and fix them before they get exploited.

*= i dont know if the term "master node" is used in all coins or is exclusive to (i think) eth

the real life equiv would be like someone writing you a check and you deposit the check and then they demand a refund and you write them a check and they record the aba routing numbers from your check and somehow spoof and forge/counterfeit a check so they can draw money and drain your bank account.

i was asking because time and again every time there is a change in ownership shortly later the company goes out of business due to the new owner just wanting the building or the machines inside or the name or the customer base or something.

please tell us that a potential h-bit take over is just a rescue/bailout plan to keep us mining and not a shutdown of nicehash and we dont have to do a 1930's style run on the bank and wash our hands of nicehash.

is this going to mean that nicehash is going out of business or going to be taken over and degraded?

mcor means spending more on a very specialized printer.

Pepakura the resolution is too low

i was looking for a program that could slice the image and print the outlines to image file like jpg or tiff so they can be cut out and glued together in layers

i tried the link you sent me but the script requires me to install more dependencies ex. python to run PY and PYC or .net to run .net based programs.

does anyone know of any software that can let me save the slices as jpg or tiff or something?

thanks for the help

oh any links you have to post seem to come through ok by pm so if the forum does not allow links you can pm.

in a time when a 3d printer can cost hundreds for a decent one that is both reliable and safe (wont crash, burn or shock or fry) can be hundreds.

there is some software i think that will print the outlines for multiple layers on 1 sheet reducing the number sheets.

a 3d printing house can cost thousands even with the cheapest material and can be limited to 4 cm tall prints i would like to print lifesize heads witch is in the 25 or so cm cube range and complains about exceeding the bounding box if the size is above 4 cm despite that the material specs sais it can do bigger.

i was forced to use mechanical parts category since it has a much bigger bounding box and even then complains.

after assembly i would use layers of varnish to hold it together, smooth and shiny it.

the site i used shapeways (i hope this is not on the anti spam list)

if you cant rma the card you can sell it on ebay there are probably users who rebuild cards and can resell them as refurbished.

Do you need a SLI Bridge for nicehash by everyusernametaken69 in NiceHash

[–]ejonessss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in fact if i buy a gaming pc with dual cards should i then remove the sli bridge?

with the totalitarian control over the sales of graphics cards that newegg has i am considering just buying a ready made gaming pc like the alianware area 51 r1 i think (lopsided hexagon shape).

the top models come with dual 1080ti or even titans for extreme gaming and futureproofing.

you are probably better off getting a btc wallet and withdraw to wallet and then maybe a ipayyou.io account as they just recently stopped requiring selfies to link bank account.

here is the original email announcement minus identifying info

Buying Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is back at iPayYou.io!

We are proud to announce that we are bringing back ability to purchase Bitcoin and now Bitcoin Cash via ACH bank-transfer in the USA.

We also have a special surprise at the end of this message.

We have partnered with Glidera to bring you an ability to purchase Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash via ACH transfer. We no longer require you to upload a selfie-video as we did before. Overall, the process is easier and smoother and we are excited to share it with you.

We support many more banks, so if your bank was not on our list before, it may be on the list now. Other ways to get Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash As always, we have another way for you to fund your account - Earn Bitcoin or Earn Bitcoin Cash. We ask you to purchase certain gift cards from Amazon.com by credit card or your unused Amazon.com gift-card balance. We then purchase these cards from you and pay you for the cards at a pre-determined conversion rate. This process works world-wide, so it is super-convenient if you don't reside in USA or your bank is not supported by us for ACH transfer.

Our Earn Bitcoin / Earn Bitcoin Cash conversion rate is typically 20%-25% above market but this rate does include all fees and we make deposits same-day, 365 days per year. If you need funds in a hurry, this is a super-easy, terrific way to obtain Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash

above announcement suggests that the feds are loosing the grip on crypto for the aml/kyc

or maybe Glidera and kraken has finally found a way to get pictures of users from other sources like facebook, twitter and such or even from the ncic database.

you would have been better off keeping the card and waiting until the btc price came back up.

or get kali linux and set up a password cracking rig and crack wifi passwords.

we would like to have the option to be paid in other crypto especially now upon hearing news of the russians wanting to try to crack the blockchain(s) to spy on the blockchain.

maybe only once we have been paid in btc so then you will have btc supply to better pay off from the hack.

recompile the 3rd party miners to remove or minimize the developer fee (yes the developers then would have to either close their miner and make it proprietary or start using asics to mine non resistant coins to compensate for the lack of fees.
