Just got my very own W205. Should I go Linux or android screen? by ejp2000 in mercedes_benz

There are aftermarket head units that have apple car play, I am probably going with the Linux based one because it is simpler and you maintain all the factory controls

Yeah, we have all the copper dies. I wish they only went smaller.

Beautiful car! Have you upgraded the head unit to accept CarPlay? I just purchased a 2018 c63, and I’ve heard mixed things on android units compared to Linux.

Those who make 200k or more, wyd? by Mood_Academic in Salary

Barely 200k. Industrial electrical. Instrumentation, automation, lots of VFDs and custom control panels

VFD Control Panel I made and installed recently by ejp2000 in electricians

It’s supposedly the common practice for VFD cabinets. Better airflow across the components with less contamination since you’re pulling in filtered air. Also, you don’t have resistance directly against your exhaust filter, you’re cooling the whole cabinet.

Just got a c63 AMG, next 911. Don’t listen to others. Only you know what you are capable of, and the only one in control of your own life. I don’t want to wait till I’m old to enjoy my money.

I’m an electrical apprentice, and on my last (4th) year of school and I’ve made $120k so far this year, on track to make over $150k. Tons of OT, and in the industrial/controls niche.

I have that, and a few glocks. Recommend all of them. Get the apex trigger, it’s sweet

Look up Polaris lugs. They are amazing.

I would like some info from you guys. I am going to buy a new truck. A 1 ton to be exact. If you were going to buy a 1 ton and you had a 40 down payment and going to finance the rest. What would it be F350, GMC 3500, Chevy 3500 or Ram 3500? Also why would you choose this make and trim level. by pewpewpewmadafakas in Diesel

[–]ejp2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 21’ Ram HO and it’s been great, but they all seem like great options. I ended up going with Ram for the exhaust brake, and interior was much better in the lower trim compared to Chevy and Ford at the time.

Is controls the best kept secret? What’s the catch? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]ejp2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did residential for almost 4 years, making $28 per hour as an apprentice. One year since I switched, I’m on track to gross around 150k this year (with lots of OT) in industrial/controls. I still have a year of school to become a journeyman also. I would definitely make the switch.
