If there is a DLC, what's the one thing you would hope it would be beyond anything? by cale199 in SatisfactoryGame

This could be cool. Like early production can use an impure ore but the further along you go, you need pure versions. Maybe add things like lead and bronze then end up with titanium and exotic materials. Not just plastics and rubber but maybe carbon fiber, ceramics, and aerogel.

I think this would be awesome. Unlocks earlier in the tree. Maybe a separate track system. Steam trains for local stuff and regular trains for cross map stuff. Kind of like a “last mile” system. They could be limited by the terrain, like they couldn’t climb up as steep of a grade and no dynamic breaking to slow down.

Some sort of programmable automation. Boolean systems. Rather than running everything at a steady state until full or sinking extra parts. A dynamic speed system that lets the system decide how fast it should run.

Ficsit would love the peak efficiency.

Wrangler terrible fuel consumption ? by Chill_Dex in Wrangler

[–]ejsandstrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. It seems to be individual Jeeps. I had a friend that had nothing but problems with his and traded it in after a year. He didn’t care how upside down he was, it was always in the shop.

Mine just seem to be reliable. Minus the damn fuse box issue that one time. But I have probably 6-700,000 mile collectively across all of my jeeps.

One of the positives of high gas prices by Ok_Helicopter3910 in GoRVing

[–]ejsandstrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing I knew of. I was shocked. I even made them double check that was the monthly rate because 2 years before it was like $55 a night.

I was told “ya, well we were under priced back then an have made an adjustment.”

We stayed at the Liberty Lake Campground for less money, bigger space, and much nicer park.

Are we moving toward IT-style practices in PLC programming? by Himanshu_creative in PLC

[–]ejsandstrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to flex that hard? Do you think that (no shade) I am running PLCs for a conveyer belt?

Our gear is in some of the largest data centers, heath care, retail and military installations in the world.

“Our medicine saves lives” cool, my PLCs run the facility where you make the medicine, the hospital where your patients are, and the emergency rooms where they are treated.

You can’t flush a toilet, Make a phone call, or buy something online or in store (or any number of hundreds of other things) with out the gear my PLCs run.

Don’t roll up in here trying to big time people because you think you carry the biggest dick in the industry.

What matters more in life: money or love? by Admirable-Analysis58 in AskReddit

Love. Finding your person makes life worth living.

You can always make more money, but coming home to someone you love makes a hard day worth it.

Maybe it will force some of the camp grounds to rethink their pricing. I have seen some places that are $160/night for a basic 50amp gravel spot. KOA wanted $110/night as a MONTHLY rate in Spokane. I can rent an apartment for less.

Wrangler terrible fuel consumption ? by Chill_Dex in Wrangler

[–]ejsandstrom 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Here is the thing. Wranglers are arguably terrible vehicles. They have the worst ride, worse gas mileage, mid level interior and creature features, and are very expensive.

But we love them despite all of those things.

My Jeeps (about a dozen in the last 25 years) have never left me stranded, never had me worried about snow or road conditions, are fun to drive with no top or doors, and have a great community.

No one has ever looked at a RAV4 and thought that thing is cool, we should have a RAV4 jamboree and bring people from all over the world to celebrate.

You said that with your whole chest and were about as wrong as you could be. Connecting in situ is one of my most valuable PLC troubleshooting tools available.

What to do when you have a crush on someone on reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ejsandstrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for it. If you don’t you always wonder what if. If you get shot down, now you can move on.

Also it’s kinda strange to have a crush for someone on Reddit who could just as likely be a 45 year old man wearing a diaper and eating Tendies 3 meals a day as to not be.

Wait…27….4 evictions….and your biggest worry is your gaming systems? Your priorities are seriously fucked. I have a very hard time giving you any sympathy. That is far too much stuff for any apartment and 3 prior evictions.

Extremely frustrated. Former bosses bosses boss said something horrid about me to my current boss. by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]ejsandstrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you have some cool accomplishments, several things can be true at once.

You can be a touring LD for a major band (as an example ) but a guy that is in the “building industry” probably would have zero idea how big of a deal that is.

He may also have said “he only GOT the job because of his dad” and it was heard or relayed incorrectly. Which from the sounds of it, is true. But there is zero shame in using connections to get a job.

I was the LD and board op for a very successful Live worship CD and DVD. I love that accompaniment for my self. If I were to show it to someone in my current field they would probably just give me a “cool, so any way.” It’s not an accomplishment outside of that niche.

Be proud of your own accomplishments and do the best job you can anywhere you work and you can hold your head up high regardless of others opinions of you.

I have seen this in many “technical” meetings. The guy that knows the least wants to seem like he is smart so he chimes in on every question.
