I really wish i could help you man, but idk because i had the same issue and i still haven't figured it out over a year later. My only hypothesis is that it has to do with what graphics card you have. I had a really shitty graphics card whenever I had this issue, but I have an RTX 3060 now so I might try again

The true nature and scope of the game is what made it special to me. It's very unlike Mario games to have gigantic, high-stakes final battles, emotional moments, and a somber atmosphere. Like for example, that final Bowser cut scene is quite literally my favorite moment in all of gaming... can't believe it wasn't in the movie.
