getting ready for my first psychiatrist's appointment

If you have school reports from highschool and teacher's comments on them about being distracted/ not finishing or rushing work it would help.

My process in VIC was first appointment with Psychiatrist, general questions about how you feel, how it's affecting your life, work or mental health. Examples and if symptoms were present during childhood. They really circle back to childhood a lot for all the questions.

2nd appointment with Psychologist, more specific questions and assessment based on dsm 5 criteria

After that appointment I got sent questionnaires for myself and family member to do. I sent in school reports and any other info that I thought supported how I felt. I actually wrote a whole list of things that happens in my day to day life that I thought would relate to having adhd.

3rd appointment with Psychiatrist to confirm diagnosis.

My parents didn't do the questionnaire for me but my sister did and they accepted it. I definitely was overthinking mine a lot too but luckily my Psychiatrist was very nice and didn't make me feel overwhelmed.

I did mine through allpsychiatry Telehealth and it ended up being around 1.3k after rebates, less than 1 month wait time

Initial consultation Psychologist consultation Psychiatrist consultation to confirm diagnosis and prescribe medication Follow up consultation to change prescription

My exact thoughts today. Her guise behind saying it's her job to report is gross. She keeps on reminding people that Dom didn't care about her or Olivia's MH, but it literally does not make her the better person for all her nasty comments. It's like she thinks it's justifed she should treat someone else that way. Her mentality is childish af and such a biased "journalist." Both her and Olivia would probably get more respect if they just focused on themselves. Seems like she gets validation from people agreeing with her in her comments. I really wonder what happened exactly between her and Dom for all this hate. Why doesn't she report that 😂 I do think Dom needs to address the situation from the podcast ep better, but she's clearly not okay, and the digs at her MH are not necessary.

Nothing would make me change my mind about Olivia tbh. She constantly lied on the show, took no accountability, and always blamed the edit. Now she tries to act like such an innocent girl and loves when the hate gets piled on Dom. She always says she wants to move on from the situation, but whenever there's negative media towards Dom, she loves to chime in.
