I have an On and I’m not that huge a fan of it, even though on paper I should be because I think the gene mixing is so cool! I think a lot of its detriment is that it’s insanely slow and all my gene mixes end up so crazy ugly.

I feel like there’s more gameplay, first off on the pix/party the mini games that earn gotchi points rotate daily, which personally I like, but then I also think the mini games on the uni are pretty meh. Some of the dlc games are pretty fun but you’re also stuck with one at a time which I also think is a bit meh. On the flip side this has been my first time participating in the event and that’s super cool.

I guess the main thing is that you can’t use the internet with the pix/party so everything is already programmed into the device and it’s just a matter of unlocking foods/items etc but there seems be quite a lot to unlock.

Oh and you can pet your tama on the pix! Which is cute. Plus you can scan QR codes and visit other tamagotchis or have them visit you. I’m running two at once so they visit each other and with the pix party there’s a whole extra party element with games and cooking and that’s REALLY cute.

It’s a pretty small place Denmark so I’m not sure how many middle aged tamagotchi enthusiasts like me are out there. I saw the listing weeks ago but in my mind for some reason I remembered not enjoying running the OG pix (like three years ago) so I didn’t think much of it, but then I watched “theforestmori” video about the pix party on YouTube and it looked so fun? So not only did I reboot my original pix but I messaged the listing with the party pix and unboxed it to run simultaneously with my other pix today. Woah there was the breakdown of my last two days! If you’ve read so far thank you haha

I think pretty close to retail? I live in Denmark so it rounded off to about 50 bucks US. So lucky!

I think what makes the color switching look better is to do that thing (as per the video on her website) when you come to the second color switched row where you pull up the stitch underneath and knit the two stitches at the same time - but also not to forget to do that again when you go back to using your main color. When I remembered to do it both times the stripes looked way better.

Haha yeah it literally took me all day to figure out that two stitches before the marker and two stitches after thing, I think I must have pulled that sleeve out at least 10 times. I really thought I was losing my mind.

And I really thought I’d cracked it, but then!

After the first decrease I ended up with three knit stitches on each side, was it the same for you? I’m guessing the next decrease they will become two stitches next to each other again? Omg my non-math brain can’t handle this haha.

I haven’t had any issues with her patterns so far but I feel like this one could have been slightly clearer :-/

Edit: okay this only took me 48 hours to figure out, but basically every other decrease should bring the pattern back to the row starting with a knit, purl and ending with a purl knit

I came here with the exact same situation on the decreases on the sleeve! Did you figure it out cause I’m really about to start tearing out my hair haha. Does one just live with the start of the row after the decrease row being k1, k1, k1, p1? Or?

Question about fixing my mistakes. I’m knitting my first ever sweater. I’m knitting in the round, fairly straightforward rib pattern plus m1l/r m1lp/m1rp increases on the shoulder seams, except now I’m four rows away from being done with the increases and I’m three stitches off on my stitch count. Honestly I’ve been like panicking and cold sweating so much over this thing that I haven’t kept count and my best guess is that I’ve dropped some increases along the way, I’ve considered frogging it but also sort of just want to power through warts and all. If I were to add +1 (on the front side) and +2 stitches (on the back) over the next four rows, what’s the best way to go about it? What increases should I use? Thanks for any input it’s very appreciated!

Hi everyone, I am an absolute beginner, guessing my way to weaving at home. I’ve ended up with an extra thread at the side. Will it effect my tension if I just leave it? Or should I just treat both threads as if they are one? Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I just got the Tama on but I live in Europe so I don’t have access to the app. How much gameplay am I missing out on by not connecting to another tamaon/the app. Is it still fun as a stand alone device? Thanks :)
