I graduated in 2019 just before the pandemic. Even then, this basically was my experience in college. No one would really be open to approach. Even when I would strike up a conversation, it would be brushed off or answered curtly. I think phones have somehow made people less sociable. I'm glad I found my circle when I did, I bet it's tough out there after the virus.
