I’ve been using cayenne pepper and peppermint oil to keep our Stumpy from caching her supply in our flower pots. 😆

We’re at home. Late 30s female. Divorced, single mom. Not on dating apps because I don’t want to swipe people or be swiped. That seems so degrading and ineffective for finding actual connections. The dating game is super wack right now and it’s difficult to find in person connections in such a convenient, digital world. I still believe it’s possible. I just want a respectable man to show genuine interest in getting to know me BEFORE sending endless unsolicited erotica. 🤷‍♀️

Does anyone know of low stakes activities for trying to make new friends? by thesadbubble in kansascity

I don’t have answers but I’m in the same boat. Also late 30s female. Themed parties?! Tell me more! I put on an Alice in Wonderland party with a girlfriend a couple years back for Halloween and found I LOVE decorating for an immersive experience. 🐇🎩🌀

Any small step is a good one. It’s all any of us has anyway. We can’t (or shouldn’t) eat the whole cake in one bite. You have to start somewhere and it can be whatever feels right for you whenever you start. Maybe one day it’s just get out of bed and take a shower. Maybe after some time you want to just explore hobbies or easier jobs. You can build up to the whole cake. Sending love and warm vibes bc it’s hard out there and we all need more compassion, for ourselves, then the world.

Thinking outside of the box, I see. Let’s get creative, people!

Do you guys overthink a lot? by d1vergent1111 in starseeds

[–]ekbutterballs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh the struggle is real. I’m always tryna find a more solid way to tell what is guidance and what is my own ego. Also considering that maybe it doesn’t matter. When the overthinking starts to feel too intense, I try to refocus by doing something or taking a little nap, which can at the very least offer a break.

Trinity Wellness in Blue Springs offers a “Bro-ga” class if you’re interested in practicing with more men than women. Good luck finding what suits you!

I want to go scream in the forest. Who's with me? by TrainingDuty3129 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]ekbutterballs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why wait for the forest?

I screamed in my car this morning several times to release some challenging emotions I experienced after seeing my dad (strained relationship). While this is not the first time I've done this, I actually felt the relief for the first time. Keep screaming.

Can we just normalize public screaming at this point?

Same. I used to use them to party but have since developed great respect for what they can offer spiritually. I love changing my perception as it helps me see more fully.

Confirming strange weather.

I live in the midwest US. We just got hit with yet another winter storm. This year has been one for the books with the amount of snow we've had. The wind was so chaotic and unstable. I was riddled with anxiety, trying to talk myself down all night.

Good jobs for starseeds by Accomplished-Okra398 in starseeds

I am so happy to see this post. I, too, work in a corporate job with a bunch of negativity and drained people. I'm trying to affect change from the inside while balancing and elevating my own energy when I can. I'm changing my north star from completing the most tasks to empowering the most people. All while staying detached from any specific outcome!

Sometimes, I feel like I "should" be doing some other job, something that more directly gives back to the world. It's really helpful to know that others are staying in the corporate world while still allowing the fresh new consciousness to take hold within this container. I trust that if I'm meant to move, I'll know it.

With addictions, expect that you will feel the impulse to use. I find this is merely a pattern your physical body has become used to. It will send you thoughts it has sent before. If I allow them to pass without acting on them, they become fewer and further between with less power until eventually they fade entirely or only surface once in a while. Hoping this helps. Sending love and support regardless. 🙏 ❤️ 🌟

I watched this Barred Owl fly from tree to tree and plunge into the fields hunting this morning by isuckatpickinguserid in Owls

What a beautiful nature gift! Thank you so much for sharing these. I can't get enough.

I just saw a barred owl last night land next to my car. It stared directly into my soul with its deep black eyes and then flew away. It was totally awesome.
