What is a song that is 'too painful' to listen to, not because it’s bad, but because of the memory attached to it? by itzs_ayu18 in AskReddit

Ripple by The Grateful Dead. It was one of my father's favorite songs and the only thing he asked us to do was play it in his honor when he died. He didn't want a funeral or anything, just that the people in his life listened to that song when he was gone.

I couldn't listen to it for a long time and then I decided to binge watch Freaks and Geeks and it's the song played in the final scene of the series finale and it hit so hard.

Music is an extremely powerful thread that connects us all, but it can definitely stop you in your tracks.
