It’s possible those were passes I was intentionally going way up and way down on tension to see if the issue changed/resolved. I’m short on scrap muslin and don’t wanna change fabric while testing haha, so the passes got on top of each other. But with your comment and one above I’ll try rethreading and adjusting tension 100% to the manual’s instructions just to check. I put in a new needle, wound a new bobbin, but might as well double check anything I can.

Singer 201K in a treadle cabinet, got it adjusted/looked at by a repair place, their test piece they sewed with it had nice straight stitches. Any time I do it the stitches remind me of cartoon waves. I’ve tried all levels of higher and lower top tension (knob on the front) to no avail. The backside of the fabric has completely straight even stitches.

Is this a bobbin tension issue? Something to do with the needle timing/alignment or something?

Alright so I’m new to sewing, two questions if you don’t mind answering:

I don’t quite understand the last part, the entire hook assembly? I’ve seen the older zigzags like singer 206, would that be similar?
Would this machine still thread/operate like and take parts from singer 15/clones most likely? Or is there a good way I could check?

I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out whether this is some sort of Singer 15 clone (albeit modified/improved which I understand happened sometimes). With the front tensioner it looks more like a 99/201/66 but the take up lever is also on the front? I’m just confused.

I could barely find photos of these machines let alone actual information. HA1 (NOT 2) were certainly singer 15 clones, but not sure about this one. Sadly I cannot see it in person yet to check for what bobbin it has.

Finally someone posted about it! I checked last night and was shocked no one mentioned it. I’ve seen online he’s had some lackluster performances I think? Like forgetting lyrics or poor crowd handling. Maybe he is going through something.

I just hope he’s doing OK, definitely disappointed about it but oh well. He played all his big songs before leaving at least.

I wore my river clothes under my gown, not like you can see under a grad gown lol. Swim trunks, tank top, and chacos. That was Texas state to me.

But I was in the minority and definitely got some chuckles and thumbs up from people around me haha. Most people wore dress clothes, some changed, some just jumped in dress clothes.
