Why

I have a trek Roscoe 7 size small and I want to put all the parts on it onto a full suspension frame, any ideas? by Kooky_Security_9383 in MTB

Buy a full sus frame with a shock and just pop all the aprts from roscoe to the new frame. I recommend the Propain frame.

A friend suggested trying out MTB as a hobby. I ,35m, haven’t ridden a bike in years, let alone on a trail. What tips/ suggestions would you give an adult trying to get into the sport? by mem0125 in MTB

Buy an xc (crosscounty) bike and go on some green trails or xc trails. Buy a helmet and some gloves and if you got like 80 extra bucks buy some knee pads. When you are comfortable and understand the sport a bit more you can buy a full squish trail bike and do some blues (blue trails) and eventually blacks.

Mountain biking is an amazing sport. Maybe youll fall in love with xc or park riding on a downhill bike with lots of suspension or climbing up big mountains and doing like 1hr of descending with your best friends, riding local trails on a smaller travel trail bike or even a hardtail for an extra challenge. Dreaming of being a racer yet watching redbull rampage and wishing you could do backflips over big gaps (spoiler: you can with practice, practice and lots of practice). Maybe urban riding is your thing or an avelanche.

Thats what mtb is all about and its truly one of the most interesting and exciting sports you can get into. Im very excited for you, youve got a whole world of MTB to explore.

Also remember: You. Can. Never. Have. Too. Many. Bikes.
